We're all being sarcastic brochacho.

And we all love Oceana grill. Heck, we even think Deke and Christian are legitimate sports reporters.

You're obviously not from New Orleans. This is how we show our love.

It's a shame Gordon Ramsay isn't doing Kitchen Nightmares anymore. I'm betting this restaurant would be on it .

I remember when Oceana was on Kitchen Nightmares. The owners should have said straight up "Look, this is a tourist trap in the Quarter. It doesn't have to be THAT good."

No appreciation for history. I'd split a case of Bud Light with Bobby. I'd even buy.

Oh look, a beer joke. Hilarious.

I've had a love/ hate relatoinship with Bobby. First he was a breath of fresh air after the years with Dave Wilson. (the first NO QB I can remember watching play even though those years I mainly played football on the ramps instead of watching) Bobby did just enough for the team to be in position to win on a Morton Anderson FG most of the time. Our D was so good we would beat teams with scores like 6-0 and 9-3. If it wasn't for the NFC West and the 49ers Bobby might have been a Trent Dilfer. Then he goes to ATL and I recall him saying " The best thing about NOLA is seeing it in your rearview as you leave". Well just like any other NOLA native you love us we will love you back, you hate us well frick you brah. So frick him.

But then he's back on the radio. I actually like him on the air. He is better than anyone of those other guys and he has the crediabilty of being a player. The problem is he is a dual threat, he's the expert but also the color guy. So they stick a moron like Deke with him on air and it's just too much. At this point I'm didn't hate the guy but I don't love him either. Then the 2009 season happened. His passion in the press box was just awesome. The icing on the cake for me was when he put on the dress to honor Buddy D before the Saints SB. LOVED IT. It was one of those awesome days for the city. The man earned my respect that day. Plus I haven't met many folks from down the bayou that I didn't like.

However I plan to never set foot in his restaurant, well maybe to punch Deke in his mouth.

Well we already established he likes a drink. That's no big deal. It's just two adults responsibly consuming a couple beers. You think he'd prefer a barleywine, stout, or an IPA? My impression has always been he's a simple kinda fella. I can respect that. But I can bring some "fancy" stuff too. I don't want to offend.

If I get a spot at the soft opening, do you want to go and we can yell "Semper Phi' at Christian and get shitfaced.

shite, I'll come. I hope some other Saints greats are there to show support. Aaron Brooks, for starters. Ricky Williams. If he's there I hope he'll sign my ESPN the Magazine with him on the cover. I'll have to take it out of the frame, though. I hope taking it out of the airtight package doesn't cause it to depreciate in value...

I don't know him as a person, but I'm sure he is a nice guy and someone I would like to shoot the shite with over drinks. Probably a classy guy.

I'm with you too though, I can't stand listening to him on the radio. And comparing him to the other guys on the station means nothing.

Lawd.

I've met him 6 times. 5 of those he was snot slinging drunk. All at social functions. Not a douchebag or anything to me and wouldn't know me from Citwit but man it was 5 extremely embarrassing times. He just absolutely made an arse out of himself and could hardly speak. He couldn't have hit his arse with radar.

6 time he was arguing with a big Texas Redneck at a gas station on Toledo Bend and I just thought he was going to get beat down. Luckily the other guy just walked away.

He was a mediocre quarterback. Plenty of those to go around for many teams.

And from what I know, he not just a name, he has a substantial amount of money up for the restaurant.

I'm not knocking him. But over the years many mediocre quarterbacks have done well while surrounded by talent. I think Archie Manning was a much better QB with no talent around him.
