Favorite season and characters?

This.

Here were mine from my Wire thread from a year and a half ago after I finished it:
quote:

Best seasons (or should I say my favorite) are 1 and 4...I really liked the whole dynamic of the Barksdale organization, and season 4 with the kids was really interesting to me.

quote:

Favorite character overall is prolly Cutty for me. Other favorites are Bubbles, Omar, Stringer, Slim Charles, Bodie, Chris Partlow, and Marlo. Least favorite is Snoop (by a fricking TON...she fricking sucked bad), Cheese, Greggs, Daniels's wife, Clay Davis (sheeeeeeeeeeeeet....), Namond Brice, and prolly a few more I can't think of.

My #1 show all time.

The Barksdale operation in season one would have wrecked shop on Marlo.

Natural Po-lice.

And side-note: Why does no one else ever mention Sergei Malatov as a favorite character? Dude was a boss.

"Did he have hands? Did he have a face? Yes?... Then it wasn't us... idiot..."

"Boris. Why always Boris?"

She's worth being on the show just for the part where she buys the nail gun

Yes. I would strongly recommend it for anyone who hasn't watched it yet.

The reason Snoop did such a great job with the part is she wasn't acting

quote:

Pearson was born to two incarcerated drug addicts and raised in an East Baltimore foster home. She met her biological parents very few times; her mother was a crack addict and her father a stick-up man.

quote:

Instead of attending school, Pearson worked as a drug dealer. At the age of 14, she was convicted of second-degree murder in the shooting death of a girl named Okia Toomer and sentenced to two eight-year terms, to be served consecutively, at the Maryland Correctional Institution for Women in Jessup, Maryland. She was released after 6.5 years.

quote:

On March 10, 2011, Pearson was arrested along with 60 others for alleged drug offenses. The arrest was made during a predawn raid at her home in Baltimore following a five-month DEA operation.

quote:

she pleaded guilty to the charges a day before her trial was to begin. She was sentenced to a suspended seven-year prison term, with credit for time served, and given three years of supervised probation.

She wasn't the only gang-banger on cast.

I remember my first experience with Idras Elba was as Stringer Bell, and when I hear him talk with his British accent I was like wtf???
