If we had a young guy behind him that we wanted to get minutes then it'd matter. Right now we're probably looking at the SF version of Stiemsa + MBenga + Dleaguers. If he plays a vet bum more minutes than Tyreke though...

Are we really bitching about this? The roster is very strong and I will be suprised if any SF comes in and plays a ridiculous number of minutes.

Pels need a vet. The oldest guy on our team basically quit on his team last year and the second oldest is EG 
.... he's not a shining example of how a teammate acts.
All that being said, if Marion or Garcia go to a non-contender for the same price that would suck...

Look I'm fine with Salmons is if he's on the bench. Vet guy that can score in a pinch and log a few minutes.
But if we gave up our Exception and/or he's starting for us..ug.

Salmons has always been known to be a very good defender, maybe not so much anymore, but i'm sure he can hold his own against the average SF not named Lebron/Durant/George/Melo
He shoots the three well and has always been a scraper of a player. If he does that, i'll be satisfied.

I think Demps has done a pretty good job of taking Monty's crack away. If our plan for SF is to hit the corner 3 and funnel guys to AD/Asik then Salmons may not be as inadequate as we're all thinking. The Spurs make nobodies look special by being able to limit what they ask them to do.

If healthy, our best lineup is still going to be Holiday, Gordon, Tyreke, Anderson, Davis. And Asik in there for Anderson depending on matchups.
