I've seen that brought up a couple times and can't fight the urge not to post anymore.

Houston still has Dwight and Harden. They will make the playoffs.

Memphis still has gotten slightly better this offseason after winning 50 games even though they lost like 100+ games to injury

I could see Houston and Memphis dropping out of the playoffs due to their rosters regressing, both due to losses and age.

Yep. Both teams will be good barring injuries. Portland and Phoenix are the teams that I think will regress. Haven't been impressed with Phoenix's summer at all. And Portland was very fortunate with injuries considering how many minutes they play all their starters. They'll still be good, but I see a step back.

The thing people forget is we played most of the season w/out Asik. We replaced Ariza with Parsons - not much of a drop off there and will actually help the D. Lost Lin who was hit or miss. I think we will be better by the end of the season but it doesn't fit the narrative.

Our division is so stacked. I don't know who misses out.

Depends on which Ariza you get

True

I am hoping for the one who plays D and can hit an open 3.

Eh. I've never believed in Ariza this whole season, I don't care what the stats say.

But I think more people are down on Houston for who they didn't get, not what their roster actually is.

It's so ridiculous. The Spurs are the Spurs. I can't see the Mavs missing the playoffs as long as Dirk is playing like he did last season. Now you add Asik to Nola.

What's Beverly's status? Didn't he tear a Meniscus or ACL?

So you don't think Houston and Memphis regress? Will both get to 50 wins?

Other teams in the west have gotten better while neither of those teams upgraded anywhere.

Stop acting like thats blasphemous brah

I know you have to pump up Ariza, but I know you know who he is.

I think it all depends on injuries. If Howard or Harden gets hurt for 15+ games that will really hurt them.

If the Pelicans stay healthy, and Monty uses our talent well we will be a playoff team. AD will challenge Howard as the best player in the division. He's still so young, I expect another big jump.

To the point of missing the playoffs? No

Easily

I expect a better T-Jones as a 2nd year starter and I think Canaan and Daniels are ready to contribute. Houston / Rio Grande Valley does as good a job as any in developing young players. Those guys are ready.

Yes

What? Have you seen Tayshaun Prince play the past 2 seasons? Vince Carter is a definite upgrade. He's made the most 3's off the bench in the NBA the past 2 seasons.

It really is stupid. You think a team with Dwight and Harden is going to miss the playoffs? I know you don't like Houston and all, but that's not going to happen. I've already posted how this talk of regressing is played out. Asik missed most of last year and didn't get big minutes until the playoffs. All of a sudden we're going to fall off?

If anything, you are overreacting.

That's probably your best way to play it at this point.
