Shoes not as important as proper insoles.

I see fewer hospital employees wearing nurses shoes, and most wearing simple running shoes

I see a lot of nurses wearing Dansko shoes. Say they are really comfortable. They have professional models for working in.

Birkenstock and Footprints make cork footbed shoes that offer great support.

Those negative heel Kalso Earth Shoes if you can find them. That's not easy these days, but from my experience you won't have lower back pain typical of being on hard floors all day.

Alegria shoes (look them up)

Only nursing shoes I will wear now. I've worn running shoes at the hospital and my feet were always hurting after 12 hours.

Alegria....my feet NEVER hurt at work now. They are pricey but worth every penny.

I'm not a nurse, but I am a teacher with a bad case of plantar fasciitis (due to unusually high arches), and I have found the following shoes to be quite comfortable:

Asics Gel-Nimbus 16
Alegria

It is critical to have good arch support.

Insoles are key.

Look around for shoes that cater to chefs and kitchen staff as well as nurses and medical personnel.

Otherwise I'd suggest running shoes.
