Would be bad, but is it worth missing out on Bosh/Parsons? Houston will wan to lock that up ASAP.

I wonder what plan b is for us in that scenario?

Lowe isn't a hack. His follow up to Fisher and McNamara was that they are considering it. Not that it's happening. LeBron has everyone reeling right now. Who knows what's happening.

Yeah I think things need to chill for a sec

Shite came out of the blue

Same here.

That this is the best route they could come up with is the issue, imo.

A question then:

Who would you have for backup PG?

Smith is unproven

Had interest in nelson but he might cost too much.

My best guess is that the stretch for Rivers is In Case of Emergency fail safe to get Asik. There should be another way around it- he's on a rookie deal, he's young, he has shown a pulse- but anything can happen in NBA free agency. Need back up plans for your back up plans.

Oh SNAP Lowe going hard in the paint:

@usnfish @McNamara247 I said only they "are." You seemed to think I was "making stuff up," which is a giant accusation

@usnfish One made, by the way, with zero knowledge about my reporting. Assume first, research later and/or never.

Evans, Tyreke

And they will sign another vet PG regardless.

Yeah, the problem isn't losing Rivers. His ceiling is a Jarret Jack type, easy enough to replace, it just seems crazy that they wouldn't be able to trade him and have to have $800k of dead money for 3 years.

Tyreke's destiny is to start at the 2.

Ben Gordon just randomly got a $9 million deal. Gotta be a Rivers taker...somewhere.

to be fair, Gordon fills a niche, whereas Rivers is still trying to figure out his. It's hard to trade for a guy based off pure potential. He's known as a scorer in college and the past two years shows very little indication that he can even do that at this level. He's in the worst possible situation as an asset.

Demps is just using Zach Lowe to get people on the phone bidding for AR because they think his value is suppressed. Trust in Dell,

But take a team like the 6ers. They're trying to tank, have tons of future picks, and loads of cap space. Why not take a chance on a guy like Rivers for a way-down-the-road 2nd rounder? If he sucks, then he helps you lose games and you move on from him next season. If he's good, then you have another young asset.

They have Carter-Williams, Wroten, and Lin incoming. So I can see why they aren't interested.

It doesn't necessarily have to be the 76ers. About half of the East is in the same situation.
