I would take Welbeck at this point but I'm not sure he's physical enough to lead the line. I'm surprised that article didn't throw Altidore in there just for shits and giggles.

considering everyone seems to think any American player worth half a damn could slide into our XI, i'm surprised he wasn't.

We should just recall Benik Afobe. We know he can score on Manchester United!

For those about to scream at me, I don't think he's really an option. I'm just looking for an excuse to bring up the fact that MK Dons beat Manchester United today 4-0 with Afobe scoring one of the goals... awesome...

I think Michael Bradley could contribute to this Arsenal team, and I'm pretty sure Jozy is better than Yaya at this point. Debuchy and Johnson are probably close. Other than that I think it would be obscene to imagine any Americans in the side. Then again I probably would have been ok giving Jones a one year deal for DM backup if we swung and missed on everyone else, but then again I'm an unabashed America homer.

I'd say Fab could as well. He'd be a better backup right back than Bellerin or Jenkinson. And honestly if we don't sign anyone else Altidore and Dempsey might could "contribute" just bc we're so thin in regards to pure strikers

I knew the Qt thing would come up. But that's one. Arsenal has multiple every season. Giroud is out for the rest of the year, and you guys are telling me that oh no this happens, yeah to The Arsenal.

I think my stomach is in more knots today than it was before the FA Cup final.

Wish I had the same confidence as just about every highly-followed Gooner I also follow on Twitter and those I listen to on podcasts, etc.

Everything tells me we're going to turn them over and easily advance, but that 0-0 (no away goals) just sticks out to me. Ugh.

Positive thoughts. Positive thoughts. Positive thoughts. Positive thoughts.

I'm fairly confident. The pitch was a disaster in Turkey. I think we'll win without too much drama.

And I'm usually pretty damn pessimistic. I think Lukas gets a goal. Aha.

BTW, Cavani rumors are heating up quite a bit. $82 million bid, could hinge on us winning today.
