we're announcing ospina, probably tomorrow. no way we're in for casillas.
and wenger shot down the balo idea earlier this summer. that move would shock me. i really think he has plans for Sanchez at CF based on his quotes.

Here's a Carvalho vid. He's a big ol' boy. He looks like a lineman out there, which is interesting considering he's only around 200 pounds, which is massive for a soccer player.

Watching that comp, he's basically the Alex Song replacement we never got. I could easily see Wenger using him as a emergency CB if need be. I could also see him being converted to CB.
My god it's hilarious to see him on the field as he is so wide it makes you think he's extremely fat. He sort of lumbers around ungracefully, but he has the technical skills people like.

The Liverpool match at Anfield doesn't bother me at all. We won 2 out of 3 with each team's best squads. We dominated them in the first league match just as badly as they did us. we just didn't score as many goals, the chances were there though.

Yeah, Arsene says we're done buying up top, which I like.

My priority (assuming Ospina is done) is CB then CM, unless that CM can cover at CB and/or Verm is sticking around. I think we will need him this year, FWIW

He makes Viera and Toure seem tiny.

when i first saw his vids last year i thought he was a young clone of yaya
i doubt he ever develops teh offensive runs/shooting that yaya has, but that's super duper rare historically

My guess is he gets converted to CB and has a few years as a monster CDM until then. He has pretty damn good skills for a player his size.

somebody needs to form a super duo back 2 of carvalho and felliani

and by someone, i mean me on fifa 15

He looks like the best fit of all and he's only 22. I rate him over any other CM we've been linked with. Would be a huge get. Literally.

Always thinking ahead.
Stewie, I think he is a no-brainer at this point.

That tackle made laugh. Seriously the way he lumbers around makes it seem like he is massive in comparison to other people. Really he's just 6'2 200 pounds, which is big, but not NFL big. I hope he doesn't go anywhere other than us in the PL, as he might straight eat Santi.

He's the player we need, but I just don't see us breaking our transfer record on him. No way no how. The Portuguese sides get these dudes for cheap and mark the value up super high knowing some money bags will over pay. If not this window they have no problem keeping a guy they bought for pennies hoping some team shells out the 45m for him later.

A keeper of Ospina's calibre for 3.2M is an absolute bargain.

David Ornstein reports we're no longer pursuing SK

That's good IMO. Khedira is a good player but not the right fit. If we could get Carvalho at a decent price he'd be the best addition.

What's the situation with Ignasi Miquel? Has he progressed enough to be a 3rd or 4th choice CB this year?
