If you are a right-winger who rants, you're a racist, elitist, sexist, homophobe, angry white bigot.

A left-wing rang and you are standing for equality, no matter how nasty the rang goes.

Why have democrats won this narrative advantage?

They win all narrative advantages. They are better at politics than we conservatives.

They play the "agree with everything I say or you are a bigot" card very well.

sure there is, but many of the "tolerant" group are just as bad because they quickly reject any views that aren't 100% in line with theirs.

Well, it depends on your perception.

I personally find progressives/Democrats to be VERY racist individuals. Now, that doesn't mean that Republicans aren't racist though.

On this board, the exact opposite is true. Conservatives are all patriots, all liberals are socialists.

In terms of the general public narrative though, what you said is largely true for one simple reason: The liberals are better at playing the game. While conservatives spent all their time holding onto idealistic views (some reasonable, others not) liberals went out and told various segments of the population exactly what they wanted to hear.

The left will win this war of politics eventually. They want all dogs to be the same. However, when that happens, it will be a dog-eat-dog world.

Here, I fixed it for you.

it is because all views are equal, but some views are more equal than others. the entire liberal mindset is based around the (almost religious) belief that their stance is right and somehow intellectually superior

this hook was actually a big reason i fell for it back in my formative years (ages 16-24 was a HUGE liberal poster on this very board, so there is documented historical data to display this viewpoint). this is a big reason why it's so strong at college. it's all sheep-like thinking through brilliant marketing

and i'm not arguing that there aren't right/wrong viewpoints, but it's the underlying basis for the views. they are both based in irrational confidence in the source, more than the view itself. lib-progs and the ultra religious are very similar in that regard, and when they fight it makes me laugh very hard inside.

but if you want to see a real life example of how this works, just look at how liberals are FULLY ABLE to call women and minorities (that they don't agree with) dumb. why? because the viewpoints of those "conservative" women/minorities is seen as so wrong, they deserve ridicule. why is it wrong? because it is wrong. fox news would NEVER be able to do (to hillary or warren, for exmaple) what SNL and the Daily Show did to Sarah Palin

Think what? That it depends on your perception or that many progressives/Democrats are racist?

It does depend on your perception. You come from the standpoint of certain preconceived notions, and your opponent comes from others. Each perceives the situation differently and each believes their perception is correct.

The accepted view isn't always defined by what is factually correct either. We are in a world based off of societal perception. If the majority supports the way you perceive it, you win.

Not really better at politics than Conservatives. However, mediums (msm, hollywood, entertainment industry, etc) carrying the the message don't do so with equivalency.
