I think most of those Dinobots Bay made up. They sure weren't in the cartoon in the 80's, and I don't think they were in the comics either.

these are the real Dinobots, all other Dinobots are imposters and subject to being kicked in the head by Grimlock
Grimlock - The team leader, transforms into a Tyrannosaurus rex.[4] Voiced by Gregg Berger.

Long. arse. Movie.
My God, I actually tried to give a frick. Was enjoying myself up until about halfway through.
The dialogue just got more and more stale, and the action was numbing after awhile.
I mean, the final fight was actually pretty good, but coming at the tail end of so much wanton pyrotechnics, it lost much of its luster.
Wahlberg and Tucci did their best to breathe some life into this thing. I enjoyed both of their roles, but the rest of the human characters were cardboard cutouts save for one of the males that of course bit the dust in act I.
Overall they really could have left an hour and 20 minutes of this film on the cutting room floor and it might have been better.

Just saw the late showing. Few observations.
1. Prime was beat the frick up in the beginning. But some barn inventor is able to get him in top shape in one night? Come the frick on (not real sure if it was done in one night or one afternoon, either way wtf)
2. The girl is supposedly 17 and they dress her up like a hooker.
3. The bitch is wearing heels on a farm
4. She wears all white to go into a dirty arse barn
5. Kelsey grammer had the stupidest bad guy one liners
6. The bald headed guy with the seed bomb, his screaming and general douche baggery was annoying as frick.
7. The product placement with budweiser, Chevy, and others was annoying and rolled my eyes every time it happened.
8. The fat auto bots voice being heard over all the action was stupid
9. The Dinobots reveal was anti climatic and corny
10. Primes fight with trex was stupid
11. The whole forced young love got old old and annoying fast
12. Mark wahlbergs spats with his daughter were amusing and a small bright spot in the script.
13. The ending was corny and stupid as frick. I swear every line said at the end made me roll my eyes. What's that Optimus? You'll hide the seed where it will be safe till the next transformers movie? I guess that will work

The movie almost seemed to get caught up in its own drama, trying too hard to make every line have gravitas and epic delivery at the end.

It's the epitome of cheesy, corny cliche Hollywood action movies. I usually know this comin into the Transformers flicks and still somewhat enjoyed them up until this one.
The dialogue was awful. Worse of any of the movies. The action became boring after sooo much of it. They give Prime some of the shittiest lines. And as someone's said above, the whole fight with Grimlock and Optimus was awful and the reveal made me groan. Just flat out awful

This movie was awesome! Anyone hating on it has limp dick syndrome and probably should stick to Nicholas Sparks movies.
It added some personalities to the transformers and gave them more one on on fighting with clearer action. Had a great set up for future installments. Any real American will see this movie and enjoy it. If you didn't like this stay at home and watch soccer.

Why does Bay insist on all the pointless human story lines?
The best part of the movie, IMO, is when Galvatron tells Prime 'That is why I have no fear.'

The lame human story lines and the difficulty in telling the robots apart when they fight are why I don't really care for these flicks.
Well, that and the "ghetto hip hop bots" that have gold teeth and can't read. I mean shite Mike, stereotype much?

It was long but I liked it. I liked Dark of the Moon better, but I liked this one better than the first two.
The Dinobots were glorious. They were exactly what I hoped they'd be--savage and huge. And the fight with Optimus was cool. Optimus established dominion over those beasts.
Except for Bumblebee and Optimus, I don't recall ever seeing those Autobots before.
The human storyline chewed up too much time. Wahlberg is poor and an overbearing father. There was no need to spend so much time on this in a movie about fighting robots. In the beginning his daughter gets rejected for college aid...as if anyone in the theater cares about her tuition.
The ending was comical. The Dinobots just kind of scamper away after the battle. Where the hell are a bunch of giant robot dinosaurs going? Even weirder was Optimus flying into space alone. After all this time, Optimus can FLY???? And where was HE going?? Just jetting into space with no apparent destination?
But the point of these movies is to watch robots fight, and I was satisfied in that regard.

Just want to make sure that Michael bay has no written a single transformers movie or any movie for that matter.
I personally think that they have spent too much time with the humans but they do that because idiots would complain if they just focused on the transformers and didn't have any human connection or some nonsense. I can understand having an audience surrogate and Sam was a damn good audience surrogate in the first one, but for everyone after that, they could have trimmed a good bit of their role back.
Optimus could fly in the last one. And he said he was flying out to find our/their creators. They briefly showed them at the beginning of the movie with the big pink skeleton looking hands. Interested to see where they go with that.
