I wish I could be more help MBAStudent.
90% of the questions are application based. Simplified example... "Mary is from India has a job in the US in customer support. Mary's boss, Todd, frequently gets complaints about Mary's accent. Todd terminates Mary." Then your choices will be things Todd could've done instead or Mary's options and you pick the one that best fits. So you really need to just understand the concepts and interpretations of the laws.

Thanks MBAStudent. I was feeling overwhelmed with trying to prep for the first exam. This really helps!

I just looked at the average for the first exam in MADM 751 and it is 80.12%. I've read the chapters and completed the assessments. I plan on reviewing everything two more times before taking the exam.

Exam in MADM 751? This is the entrepreneurism class with Meeks. There are no exams. You must mean another class. :)

I think they meant MADM 701 because 80.12 is the current average for the 701 exam.
It was 90 yesterday. 74ish this morning. Now 80.12.

I just looked back at my MADM 701 module one exam scores from a couple of terms ago and the final average was 74.

Was noticing the bombardment of Introduction posts in MADM701 so was looking at Participant #'s from my current core classes and past core classes still on Moodle:
FIN 701 - Spring17 - 255
MKT 701 - Summer17 - 267
MADM701 - Fall 17 - 469
ACCT701 - Fall 17 - 399
ISDS705 - Fall 17AP2-336
quite a jump.

Finally figured out how to turn off forum post emails in ACCT and MKT. For some reason you can't unsubscribe from the email and it was driving me crazy

Yes, SoCal I meant MADM 701. Taking both classes and typed the wrong course number.

No kidding -- there are a lot of people enrolled in MADM 701. Moodle is showing 468. I think it was even higher a few days ago but some must have dropped. I've never been in a class with so many people so that number boggles my mind. There must be multiple graders to handle the load.
On the upshot if you read some of the intros it's a pretty interesting and seemingly talented group. There are doctors, nurses, business owners, engineers, academics, a pro athlete, a minister, a mountain climber, a motivational speaker, some just out of undergrad and some AARP eligible. And we are from all over the place -- across the U.S. and the globe. If we were in a bricks and mortar program I think i'd enjoy sitting in a classroom getting to know and learning from this group.

It seems like our LSUS MBA program is really taking off with classes growing quickly. It was only a matter of time until people realized what a value this program is for the cost.

Not sure what to make of Ambrosio. He said in his last module 1 video that all the questions from the quizzes and assessments were written by him. How can he not realize the obvious? I think he might view his job as administering the class instead of teaching it.

@Jeaux, please tell me how you do this? I am overloaded with all the notifications.

Click on your photo at the top right on Moodle and go to Preferences->Forum Preferences->Change Email digest type to Subjects or Complete. By doing this, you will only receive one email daily

Winchester, I feel bad for the people on the forum spending all this time working all those problems. He keeps harping on videos and posts how this class should be easy. I'm waiting for him to just come out and say, Read the chapters and focus on the practice questions at the end of chapter and forget about the exercises and problems. It's as if he's working for professor ratings.
What's everyone's approach for Moodle 2?

Thank you so much, Jeaux Cool! I was about to lose my mind with all the emails coming on my phone!!

Glad I could help, GSMBA!
Brent, as far as Module 2, I think I'm going to take the same approach as Module 1. Skim through the PowerPoint and use the search function for the quiz and assessment. Hopefully it'll be as easy as the first one.

Jeaux and Brent, I keep waiting for the "oh crap there's more work" than this moment with Ambrosio. I keep finding it difficult to really put a ton of time into this class. But hey, if this is what it is, I'll gladly take it. How do y'all think the 2 exams will be?
Posted on 9/2/17 at 9:01 am to 9BREES9
Agreed 9BEES9 and brentb, I'm having a hard time being motivated. Module 2 should tell us if this pattern will keep up. The exams however could be a deal breaker if he did in fact write them all himself. I plan on having all of the previous quiz and assessment questions on hand and then crossing my fingers.
Ambrosio told student in the class forum to ignore the learning objectives at the beginning of each chapter and said he would test on a much more narrow body of knowledge. Hopefully that means the exam material will closely match the assessments.
