Where all are VIN placed on cars?
The door panel, dashboard. Anywhere else? Just so I know in the future

There are several hidden places with a secret VIN number on a vehicle, so even if these idiots tried to scratch off the obvious VIN numbers then there are ways to track them down.

The VIN is on the motor as well, correct?
Eta: and since police are still asking for "help". I emailed WAFB this thread. Got a response 15 minutes later basically telling me to go frick myself. That it's the burnt crystler 300. Remember the last time BRPD got fixated on a vehicle? White guy driving a white pickup truck ring a bell?

I am sure they are well aware of this thread anyway

He copied and pasted the article from earlier in his response. Lol.
When you ask for public help, don't be an arse when you get it.
WBRZ is better at following up on these types of stories anyways.

Is there black box on that type of vehicle. Surely it has some identification.
If owner tries to claim the car was stolen it would seem contrived unless it was reported stolen prior to the hit and run.

They don't need the OT's sleuthing skills... Just story's to call their own to post on Facebook or run on the morning and afternoon show. Other than that, we can go frick ourselves.

Most of their stories are taken from here anyways.
I don't watch WAFB. They suck, IMO. I was at my parent's house and their lead stories were pimps, and of course, St George.

A vast majority of local media (radio and TV) stories are obtained from TD. Fact.

I love when I read a post here about something in BR that hasn't been made public yet (I.e. a business closing) so there's no links or anything and then 2 hours later a full news article with quotes is in the Daily Report PM.

Seriously, I showed my mom this thread and told her that if anything ever happens to me to please come here and ask for help.
Even she can't understand how they are just going with the burnt car. It very well may be it, but it's worth looking into.
That bitches windshield was in her lap. You don't get damage like that from a rock.

The Vin is engraved on the engine compartment fire wall as well as many other places

That's what I thought.
