In that article I linked, they actually shot her in another cameo/Easter egg in the season finale, but it got cut because of time restraints.
But just because they intended her to just be an Easter egg for season 2, that doesn't mean that they can't change their mind and give her some role in an episode in season 3. Maybe the fan excitement over her appearance might spur them to think about it at least.

that same guy also posted on twitter of him working out with a nightwing shirt on saying he was "training" for the role but i guess that was him just lobbying.
and with harley, her voice would probably change though. in the show, they never showed her because they used the video/cartoon voice actor for her voice. if they actually cast someone theyd have to have a decent harley voice as well.

I thinking that is probably one of the biggest roadblocks in bringing Harley onto the show. She has such a distinct personality, and her incarnations in cartoons and games have had such distinct voices, that casting her character will be very difficult. While fans are clamoring for her, if they cast her wrong those same fans will turn on them in a heartbeat.

they didnt change Talias name. it wasnt her. Talia actually has a half sister. thats who they used.
and its widely believed that Thea will eventually become Speedy like the female Speedy named Mia Dearden (which is Theas middle name)

Like B&G said, The last speedy was a girl who shares a middle name with Thea. And Nyssa is her own DC character, Ra's al Ghul's other daughter.

Nyssa Raatko, aka Nyssa al Ghul, is the other daughter of Ras al Ghul and half sister to Talia.
As for Canary, that is a tricky one. In the origin of the character, there is no Sara Lance. The original Black Canary was Dinah Drake, followed by the more well-known super powered Dinah Laurel Lance. Now, that could mean that Laurel is destined to take her younger sister's place as the Canary. We don't know.

We don't know for sure, but we have a pretty good idea that that was the original intent. It's not like the writers haven't openly hinted at that being the case. Now whether or not Sara's popularity will change that direction, who knows. But I still fully believe that Laurel will eventually take up the Black Canary mantel. I just hope it is later rather than sooner.

I'm not going to read any of the posts on this thread because I just stared watching this. I'm on episode 5 and just saw Deathstroke brought into the picture. Damn, this is going to be a badass show.

Dude, if you really liked the 1st five episodes, then you're gonna love the second half of the season. And season 2 will blow you're mind. Have fun watching them.

Arrow casts Katana for Season 3

In the Green Arrow comic book that the show gains inspiration from, Arrow and Katana were recently revealed as both being connected to a secret organization known as the Outsiders, with multiple clans each representing (and represented by) their weapon of choice, including The Arrow Clan, The Sword Clan, The Fist, and others. While that deeper mythological connection will probably stay off TV, it does set a recent precedent for the two heroes working together on the printed page.
