Did I say it did?
And playing in CFB or the NFL doesn't make you good at being a reporter, and playing CFB or in the NFL isn't a prerequisite for being able to tell if someone is a good reporter or not. It's a stupid, irrelevant point.

No fool but playing in the NFL gives you more insight based on personal experience and can give you a different point of view than a fan who thinks he knows what to do to be successful in the game of football.. Your bashing a man who is entitled because of his past endeavors and does know what hes talking about because he lived it so stop hating and appreciate kid

So much fail in this thread. Hebert isn't hard to understand because he's Cajun. He's hard to understand because he's drunk and has the vocabulary of a 5th grader. My 4 year old daughter annunciates her words better than he does.
But hey- he played football 25 years ago so he gets to show up to his workplace intoxicated while embarrassing our fan base.
So "stop hating and appreciate" exactly what? What should I appreciate- his journalism skills? His insightful commentary on Cover 2 defenses? His intricate understanding of the Saints' salary cap situation? Because he has none of that. He shows up in the press box, gets drunk, celebrates like a fan, gets asked to leave and/or is escorted from the premises, then cashes his paycheck. Nice work, if you can get it.

SO much fail in your Tigerdroppings posts. I guess you could do a better job so sorry. I like Bobby don't discredit anyone who played in the NFL your minimizing that fact, acting like its such a cake walk to get there he may be belligerent but your whining because hes hard to understand sometimes and that's your argument?? Yea he has no idea what cover 2 are you insane he played QB Professionally he wouldn't have made it that far in his career if he didn't know what cover 2, go to sleep

Bobby Hebert is an embarrassment.
Bobby is the heir apparent to Buddy Diliberto. He is a bit of the home spun charm that was lost with Dizzy Dean and Dandy Don. I have felt embarrassed for him more than once, a couple times for his son. I enjoy his comments more when he is sober than not.
Here's to you Bobby

What you see if what you get with Bobby. Father of Who Dat Nation and the guy bleeds black and gold and purple and gold. So you my friend are a fricking embarrassment for starting this post

He and Deke can both be embarrassing at times, but moreso to the locals than elsewhere. I suspect a lot of their national guests, etc., think they're charming and colorful.
I sometimes cringe, but honestly I prefer them over some of the sterile commentators affiliated with other team around the league that I've heard. I also suspect there are dumbasses filling the equivalent of Bobby and Deke's shoes in some other NFL cities.
Besides, I wouldn't trade some of Bobby's postgame tirades for the world (e.g., Saints v. Patriots 2009).
