Anyone else not liking the idea of coins? Seems annoying to have to collect coins to go faster.. I'm sure I'll get used to it.

weren't coins part of the first mario kart? you ran out of coins and bumping in to people would cause you to spin out if I remember correctly?

hoping to stop by gamestop on my way home from work and trade in my shite and pick it up. Apparently in Alabama you can't trade in more than one console at a time (something about state pawn regulations) so it may be tomorrow before I can pick up my bundle if they won't take both my consoles today. 
Girl at gamestop told me wednesday to just wait until today to trade things in because there may be bonuses for trade ins towards the console like there are for the game itself but they wouldn't know until today.

Just got mine. Played one round of Grand Prix. It's awesome. Unlocks are random apparently, but I did get Ludwig on my first go, so that's nice.
It's as pretty a game as they say and silky smooth.
The game is super nice, but I think they missed a big chance to create some new characters that could announce stuff. The game would be glorious with some fun commentary and new characters for that purpose.

Like have bowser doing commentary on the race or something?
That would be really cool.
I've been out of the game since N64, have they had this recently? They way you wrote it makes me assume so.
