Players on rosters from following universities:
2 Grand Valley State
2 Jacksonville State
2 Valdosta State
Arkansas Pine Bluff
South Carolina State
Appalachian State
Hofstra
Northwest Missouri State
Bloomsburg
Sam Houston State
Stillman
Regina
North Dakota State
Idaho State
McNeese State
Tarleton State
Middle Tennessee State
Walsh
Southern
West Texas A&M
Midwestern State
Samford
Western Kentucky
That's like over 30% of our roster I think roughly.

Is that the current roster for just the Saints? I don't care where they come from, the Saints find some ballers.

yep, players on saints roster right now from wtf schools. Some more so than others obviously but definitely not traditional football power houses on the division 1 scale.

Can't find a diamond in the rough without going to the rough.

I feel like players from wtf schools are hungrier. Maybe get a sense that they have more to prove.
I like it.

Half those guys pissed away their scholarships at FBS schools and wound up over there.

Doesn't the Saints have more scouts than any other team?

It's because the Saints hate LSU.

Sports Today said the current % of UDFA players on NFL rosters is 30%. Let that sink in.

I don't know if its common or not. My guess is yes. Scouting and the system is why it works for the Saints.

We've got some mainstay guys like Evans, Colston, Hicks (who would have been at LSU if not for school violations), Robinson, etc. But most of those places you listed, those guys won't be on the roster when the season starts.
Davis, A.J.
Warren, Pierre
Armstrong, Matthew
Jacobs, Nic
Kilgore, Logan
Tanner, Andy
Dixon, Brian
Flanders, Tim
Flanders, Tim
Jones, Seantavius
Virgil, Lawrence
Brooks, Derrius
Morgan, Joseph
However, I think teams are giving smaller school guys a harder look after guys like Evans, Colston, Romo, Danny Woodhead, and Jacoby Jones have had success.

There's an ample amount of UDFA's that are stars or were stars in the league.

North Dakota State has won the last 3 NCAA Division I football national championships. Sam Houston State played them in 2 of those 3 games.

Two of the schools listed are already FBS schools and another is moving up this year.

SD used to do it regularly when Bobby Beathard was GM. Too bad most of his small school finds sucked balls.
