MSU and Alabama just don't sweep. That's all it doesn't matter who wins 1/3 2/3. As long as either team doesn't sweep.

So if LSU sweeps we have at best a 5 seed I think

We will jump the USCe vs Vandy series loser and if neither sweeps we will jump both

If bama wins atleast one game we will be a 3 seed.

so translation we need to sweep.

Great job Astro!

Posts like these are the main reason I keep up my premium subscription to TD.

I would love for us to win the West, but I really hope we finish in the top 4. I don't want the NCAA selection committee to have any ammo to use against us.

to Astro and for updating the OP based on Thursday's results. Your explanation of the possibilities is sooooo superior to
what the Advocate's sports writers provide.

Everything depends on how Vandy/USC/LSU do relative to one another in Hoover. It's possible the SEC gets 5 hosts - not probable, merely possible - and then the whole discussion is moot.

If Tenn beats Vandy, I believe Vandy - even with a high RPI - will be the odd man out, regardless of what USC/LSU do in Hoover. The other variable is MissSt, which could enter the regional host discussion if they were to win the SEC tourney. Anything short of winning the tournament and they are not even in the discussion IMO.

All that said, I predict the SEC indeed gets 5 host sites...UF/OM/USC/LSU/Vandy
