Heller has to be the most laid back president in history. A covert agent with a reputation for being a little high strung, and the most wanted man in two countries to boot, strolls into your office and without preamble sticks a gun into the neck of your Chief of Staff/son-in-law and your response is "Jack, what is going on? Jeez..."
And it's Boudreau in the coffin, IMHO. That looks to have been foreshadowed by Jack asking for Audrey's future forgiveness but not telling her what's been going on so he's going to have his shot at redeeming himself.

The imdb description of the finale gives away 3 huge spoilers. Don't look.
(Edit: ok I didn't know users could edit imdb ep descriptions. That's pretty idiotic. I'm glad because there is no way one of the things they listed as happening could legally happen)

How is this going to be resolved in only one more hour?
Posted on 7/8/14 at 12:55 am to PsychTiger
In the most epic way possible. With Jack saving the motha frickin planet.

The only thing I'm hoping for next week is for everything to be resolved with Jack. There's a great chance it's a series finale, and I hope they learned from the S8 finale and the years following that there are no guarantees you get a chance to resolve any open ends. Let Jack Bauer have his final moment. Whether he dies or rides off into the sunset so be it. He deserves closure.

I must have dozed off or otherwise blinked and missed it, but how did Cheng go from being on the run to catch a fast boat out of London, worrying about how to fool Port Authority, being the victim of Chloe laying the pipe, to staking out Audrey's sekrit meeting and having his henchmen execute every last motherfricking one of those pricks, except, of course, Audrey? Did some unseen, unintroduced person monitoring the Chinese lady tip him off in the, what, 5 minute window he had to get from wherever he was to wherever the meeting was? How many people in the Chinese government could know he's alive? It can't be many, and what are the chances that person would be monitoring that lady?

Chen wasn't at the meeting. Just his sniper.

Cheng is on the run. He must escape London undetected and yet he stops and risks detection when Chloe jumps out of the van. Her value to him, if any, is extremely limited. Certainly not enough to risk landing in a western prison for life.

I sure hope the show is back on for another few seasons.. I would be interested to know their ratings. Even when 24 is not great, it is still better than most network shows.

I thought it was goofy that the army caravan sees their truck pulled over to the side of the road, stops to talk to the Chinese dude, and decides nothing is wrong and drives off, when it had to be obvious that there are a bunch of people in the woods with flashlights obviously looking for someone or something.

Some interesting answers, hope for future seasons, an admission that Season 6 should have ended after the 1st 4 episodes, intrigued by the premise of a Netflix 24, and a worriesome answer to "Hardest decision to kill a character off".

That was a good read.
I definitely laughed out loud at their answer about Homeland and 24 existing in the same universe.

Yeah, he was watching video of her. It was still quite the reversal of fortune, from running for his life to calmly overseeing the murder of Audrey's cronies and threatening her. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if Jack's guy is Cheng's sniper.

When was he running for his life? The CIA had no clue where he was and Jack was long gone.

He was desperate for the Russian to get him out, and it wasn't just Jack he was worried about, and he was very worried about Jack, he had to be worried about the Americans, British, and Chinese looking for him. That's what was on his mind inside the van, that and getting past Port Authority so they can all escape, yet next thing after Chloe's beatdown and escape, he was calmly overseeing the Audrey operation, and it didn't look like he was doing it from inside his van. It was like a 24 miracle.

Cheng has been part of the 24 rodeo before.
He was worried until he remembered that everybody was just going to set a perimeter around him.

Mini spoiler below
Jack's guy isn't Cheng's sniper. I was watching Jimmy Fallon on Monday night and KS was the first guest. They showed a clip from the finale. It was Jack and his guy at the docks blazing through some Chinese guys. Chloe was at a computer, somehow watching an infrared feed and telling Jack where the Chinese thugs were. It was about a 30 second clip with a lot of yelling and shooting. Didn't really give anything away, but it confirmed that Jack's guy isn't involved with Cheng.

I think Boudreaux dies. He'll sacrifice himself to try to redeem some honor and save Jack or Heller.
If Boudreaux dies, I don't think he is in the casket they showed in the preview. The person in the casket would have to already be dead I would think to fit the "timeline". With only an hour left, there wouldn't be enough time for him (or any other living character) to die, be sent to a M.E.'s office, get a casket ordered, and shipped to a location where we saw it unloading.
The question is, who has already died to warrant a military style casket?

Kate's husband?
