This past LOBI tournament I fished with my 11yo son. On the last day 2hrs before time to go we move across the lake closer tot he ramp for the last few hrs of fishing. I pull up to the spot and get up to put the trolling motor in the water and the handle moves out in front of the boat. Just as I reach for it the boat hits a stump and stops us dead still. I go head first in 60degree water. My son thinks I am drowning and is flipping out. I just move to the back of the boat and use the motor to lift me in.
Lucky I had extra clothes in the boat to wear or it would have been a cold ride back to the camp.

It is a normal occurrence when drunk pissing off the bow or transom and having an a-hole for a buddy at the helm. I can't tell you how many times I have face planted in my own piss

Mid 90's. February. Toledo bend Pro-am. Boat gets on top of tree. Pro and I are rocking the boat to troll off it. I get too wide and left foot hits the gel-coat. Straight in the water. It was so cold and wet that day that I had never taken my Gore-tex off. Thank God.
I was asked questions on the podium because I was high am that day and I could barely talk.

Coming in to the boat lift at the camp in a pro-drive. I'm standing on the front preparing to jump off and guide it in the slip. Guy driving decides to bump it in gear to bounce it off the bumpers and just drive it in. I land in the water in the cables and metal lift. Rusty metal cuts and muddy salt water. Yay.

Nah, only jumped out. Fallen in the boat before though.

bowfising with my buddy on his boat. Was on the bow trying to pull the arrow out of the mud after a miss and he let off the gas so it wouldn't get caught in the prop, and I got dumped. Dropped his $400 bow in the water and had to go swimming to find it.

25 year ago I was helping the old man put out crawfish trap in January. We had just launched the skiff that was slap full of crawfish traps. He asked me to grab something out of the dry storage, so I scaled the catwalk headed to the front of the boat when we hit a stump. Boom, in I went. It was probably high 30's low 40's. Picked the boat right backup and headed back to the house. I took a 3 hour warm bath trying to find my pecker...
ETA: Does all of the time you fall out grabbing frogs count???

Yes - Was fishing by myself on Lake Chicot early one morning and had boated a few bass pitching to cypress trees. Was standing on the bow of my small metal boat trolling real fast to the next run of cypress and admiring the very large (10+ ft) gator nearby. The TM hit a submerged stump and stopped the boat dead, I however kept moving forward with rod in hand.
It only took me about 4.6 seconds to get back in the boat and look around for that gator... and I never saw him again.

I am waiting for the day I fall out of my kayak. My boat is more than stable enough to stand in, but I mindfrick myself every time.
I look like a newborn horse trying to stand and pitch a bait, especially when there are stumps around.
Im sure one day it will happen....

I am reminded of the time a friend took me and my two, then, young sons Chinqepin? fishing. We eased in among about 7-8 boats on a huge bed and my bud bent over to tie off to a snag. He promptly fell head first into the water and came out QUICK as it was pretty cool.
We knew everyone in the boats around us and my buddy said when he hit bottom he was thinking about not coming back up, cuz he would catch some pretty good ribbing. He was right!
My 4 year old capped it off by saying,"That was funny Mr. Anderson, DO IT AGAIN!"

Never a motor boat. Once in a canoe on a river.
Never in a raft.
Weird.

A bunch of times at toleda from those damn stumps.
Scariest one was at a floater at night. Had an 8ft bull swimming around the boat earlier and needless to say I walked on water getting to the transom

I fished lake decade about 6 years ago when it was 32 outside. My younger brother had just started dipping. The buzz hit him right when i told him to hurry and drop the anchor and he went in with it. Funniest shite ever. I had a propane heater on board and everyone had enough extra clothes so all was well.

I've never really thought about it.
There aren't too many people who have more time/years in small boats than me, but not once have I ever fallen overboard.
I've probably just jinxed myself.
