Really? Wonder what the cost is for 1/4", 4'x8' sheets. I would love to build one out of that to put up for my grandson that is 3 1/2 years old. I'm also on a hunt to get some 1/4" 1"x12"x16' clear cypress boards. I might have a lead on that.

I'm interested in coming and building one.

I would be more than happy to bring some deer sausage as well for all to enjoy. I went a bit overboard this year with it.

Riverside Lumber has 1/4" Cypress Plywood for $75.00 4x8 sheet. The guy there does not recommended for building boats out of. He said it for show. He also has marine Plywood for $53 a 4x8 sheet.

i thought he intended this as an instructional thing rather than as a bring materials/build your own. if he means bring your supplies and build your own, i am in like flynn.

Fish the family and I can arrange to be there the weekend of May 3rd, May 10th, or May 24th. I want my boys and I to learn this art from you.

Maybe i read it wrong, i am hoping to get some pointers. I know fish fighter stated something like that before.

I can bring almost all the tools needed. The planer and table saw are used little enough I think they can be shared and i can always get those too if needed.

They do not have it 14', but he did give me a lead on where to have 2 4x8 sheets splice at.

He said to contact Bob Doolittle at the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Maritime Museum, and for a small donation they will do it. I have bob number if you need it, I will not post online.

Ok so I wasn't off.

If we can get enough people think we can make a bulk buy of materials and have it delivered?

Fish, what is needed for one boat? Then we can figure out how many people and see if someone has connections for a bulk buy and or getting supplies delivered...

If I remember correctly dry work conditions are needed. We gonna need a tent or something if we get several boats under construction at once?

Fish,
It's great to see you are doing well enough to build a boat. I haven't been on here much lately. I'll keep checking and I may have to go down that way when the building/meeting happens.

This is what will happen. Who ever brings there supply, they will be building there own with me instructing them.

For those that will not want to build one at this time, they will get hands on helping others or the one I will be building.
