Fried catfish is good, because it's fried.. Baked catfish is pretty nasty. I'll take tilapia over that any day

I'd just like to be on record as saying I'm not a big fan of either. I like thin cut catfish but they could use anything. It's the batter I like.

I'll also going on record as saying R2R's fishing skills are likely on par with his cooking skills. He can tell you how to fish all day but probably can't tie on a hook.

I on the other hand don't give fishing tips unless someone asks and I'm more than happy to tie a good knot for anybody.

Tilapia is about the same price as flounder.

No it's not. Not any seafood market I go to anyway. Flounder fillets with be in the 8-10 dollar range. Talapia will be in the 4-5 range like local catfish.

We would sell Tilapia for 8.99 a lb because we were getting it for 6.99.

Flounder would sell at 9.99 a lb. Catfish 6.99.

Who is "we"? Are you currently involved in a seafood market or restaurant? Just curious.

I stop at Joe Patties about once a week this time of year. Their flounder fillets are up there with trigger fish and some of the grouper around 9ish/ lb. Talapia is in the 4's with the domestic catfish. It could be different wholesale, but that's about right for most retail places like that

Not really a response. You either are or you aren't. You said "we would". Does that mean you deal with it currently or you're basing this on a past history of some sort? It's confusing.

As of December, that was the prices we charged at the market I ran.

The prices have not changed.

High end might be more expensive.

Did it close or you're just not working there any longer?

Found a much better job.

And the fish there is pretty cheap. Only marked up marginally.

Not falling for that. You already know it.

Put it this way, would not buy any prepped food from there.
