Also, I'm having trouble getting text from the sheep. They've deleted my contact info and put it back and their text won't go through to me. What's the remedy?

I just got a galaxy s5 yesterday after using iphones since the beginning of smart phones.

Holy
shite

I'm so upset I didnt switch earlier. The screen is amazing, the camera is amazing, the feel and keyboard are amazing. Open source apps are amazing.

And the best part?

I never ever have to use the shithole that is Itunes(this was the main reason I switched, not even the phones themselves. I despise that program with a passion.) Itunes has pissed me off for the last time. Seriously, Itunes made me want to throw my computer out the window anytime I try to do anything. I feel like apple tries to make everything so idiot proof that you can never do exactly what you want. I didn't even really care about the phone, I just wanted to never have to deal with itunes again.

The only downside so far is that it comes with a ton of bullshite aps on it, but a few hours of sorting through it all and keeping what you want fixes that.

Yeah, it comes with a bunch of BS apps, but you can disable them through your app manager.

It's nice to be able to hide them in your "apps" drawer, where as on the iPhone every app is on a front page somewhere. No where to hide it.

I still don't understand why some on here care so much about what phone another is or isn't using. Use whatever phone you like or prefer. End of story.

Root it. Then:

Ad Away
Chrome
Google Drive
Evernote
ES File Explorer
Shazaam
HBO Go
Doods Music Streamer
Grooveshark
Pandora
Mobile Hotspot (Not through Verizon)
Navi X
PF Voicemail (Visual Voicemail)
Google Play
PLEX
Quick Office
Roku Remote
SHO Anytime
Skype
Smart Voice Recorder
Speedtest
Tasker
TED
Tetris
Titanium Back up Pro
U-Verse
Urban Spoon
Yelp
Watch ESPN
WatchON (Samsung's Universal Remote App is still the best IMO)
Waze
Yahoo Weather App
Win Amp
XBMC
XBMC Remote
Yelp

Then if your brave/tech savy enough go the XDA

So, let me get this straight.

You are smarter than most people.

Switch from working phone to fit in with hipsters.

Start thread requesting virus protection for new super awesome phone that old sheep user phone doesn't require.

Too stupid to set up super awesome phone to properly send and receive text messages.

You bought something you know nothing about, is disposable, and start thread saying, "please help me droid sheep, my phone doesn't work. I'm too dumb to figure out on my own".

Brilliant!

Wontongo, most of those are free apps on iTunes without ducking around with the OS.

How is that an advantage?

Just curious. I support all 3 phone systems. I just really don't understand the inferiority complex many droid users seem to have.

They typically are the ones that somehow believe they're superior because of a phone.

I'm about to switch from the iPhone to a Samsung.

Am I making a big mistake?

I understand fully about the messages. And I'm a sheep.

The MENSA member that started this thread asked not once but twice about virus protection. But only after making it known he was too smart to be a sheep.

I don't care what kind of phone you have.

But posts like this are imbecilic.

"hey look at me! I'm following the crowd again, but this time my phone doesn't work".

Not if you're tech savvy. Don't you have a teenage son?

He'll probably be able to help.
