I only got sound no video.

So watchdog.org is running around harassing officers.? Oh lovely...

what a great idea... Let's show complete disrespect and then catch them in the act of being pissed off so we can make headlines and get someone fired?

You really support this kind of "Freedom"?

And the public wonders why we have bad cop behavior from time to time? They are humans...the worst neighborhoods hate them 95% of the time, and then when a crisis hits their own door, they call mad they didn't show up in time..

What a thankless job... combined with complete ungrateful generation of idiots

Kid's a dick, but as has been said already, the cop's job is solely to enforce the law. If the kid hasn't broken a law there's no need for the roid rage.

I disagree. There are no laws being broken, there is nothing to enforce therefore there is no reason for the cop to detain. IMO it sets a bad precedent.

If you a police officer, do you think maybe that car has some involvement?

It's one thing if it's a worried mother "who is it?"

but we have a punk with a camera setting a trap.

It's just not cool.

Unless you have business with the crime scene, then you do not need to be little drone trying to stir up dissension.

If the officer asks you a question.. Just answer it respectfully.

Then he will respectfully ask you to move along or just park instead of circling around. Respect the work they do.

Would you want the police circling your work place? Is it unlawful for them to do it?

So people can just frick around with cops while they are doing their jobs and get away with it?

So you think you would have handled it better?

It's not game from his point of view.. It's blatant disrespect and a distraction/ obstruction.

Is the kid under the influence?

The kid has an agenda, and that's not cool. There is a right way and wrong to handle yourself and he clearly wasn't as smart as he thought he was.

being a cop does not guarantee respect from everyone. agenda or not he was doing nothing wrong and they knew what he was doing. butterbean is now the one that is going to be in trouble, so how smart was he really. he should be worried about his job instead of trying to intimidate.

Yes. Absolutely. The police are not a protected class. Any office that allows for the use of deadly force and the threat of imprisonment deserves extra scrutiny.

No. The right to remain silent is important.

No laws broken by the citizen. The cop assaulted the guy by throwing his papers in his face and yelling in the guy's face, all in full view of another law enforcement officer who did nothing.

If these cops were at the scene of an argument between two private citizens or a domestic dispute and the husband/boyfriend threw a handful of papers in the woman's face like that, the cops would pounce on the guy and send him to jail. If you think the driver asked for it, maybe the wife was being a B and deserved it, too. The driver asked to press assault charges but the "good cop" ignored it.

So the punk can circle the cop 5 times, but the cop doesn't deserve a reason why? That's ridiculous.

Guy is a jerk for sure, but cop needs to maintain cool at all times. After all, he does have a gun on him.

If he can't maintain cool, shouldn't be a cop.

He gave him a reason why. A perfectly legal reason. Fatslop just didn't like it.

Doesn't mean he can interfere

He wasn't. He was legally driving on a public road. If the cops didn't want people driving on that road they could have legally blocked it off.

Then people would start threads like "Cop blocks off public road to beat innocent motorist/pedestrian up".

Driving legally on a public road is not interfering. If it was, they should have roped it off. It must not have been a pressing crime, considering they apparently abandoned the crime scene in favor of pulling over a 'habitual block circler'.

You need to remove your emotion from this debate and look at it from a strictly legal view. This is exactly what the cop failed to do.

so if I am sitting on a bench when a cops stops someone in my vicinity I have to move now? as long as he wasnt taunting the cop or causing a scene, I dont have a problem with him watching. the cop shouldnt either.
