How dare he observe a public servant at work. From a public road. While not breaking any laws. "Obstructing!" We must give the police absolute deference and privacy. They do the same for us, right? Right?
he was circling
He was asking questions versus answering them
had a female also enticing the officer "What did he do wrong?"
the officer answered " You're being a distraction"
If you sit still no issue.. keep roaming around, that's not exactly normal behavior from by standers

The cop has a right to search based on reasonable suspicion. Did you miss that part or do you just not like it?
Right to search? What are you on about? He didn't have a right to stop.

I have no problem with expecting a cop to do his job professionally and legally and holding them accountable if they dont.
This douche in the video was just antagonizing the cop hoping to get a reaction.

Why? Because I don't mind when cops use reasonable suspicion when patrolling?

so the point here is that this young adult is just trying to ruffle jimmies and that's just not cool in my book. It's blatant disrespect.
When you get to carry a gun, arrest people, are trained on the law, and your job is to protect and serve, your "jimmies" as everyone loves to say can't get russled to that degree.
If the cop was in the private sector or worked at the DMV everyone would saying how unacceptable it is. Being a cop does not give you special privileges when someone pushes your buttons.

If you were working in your yard and some cop kept circling around (or anyone for that matter) and videotaping, you'd get a little suspicious too. As a matter of fact...if it was a civilian doing it many people would call the cops

Reasonable Suspicion - A police officer may briefly detain a person, without a warrant, if the officer has reasonable suspicion that the person is involved in a crime (Terry v. Ohio, 392 U.S. 1 (1968)), and the officer can use reasonable force to effect the detention. Courts have recognized that an officer's safety is paramount and have allowed for a "frisk" of the outermost garments from head to toe if the officer reasonably suspects that the detainee is armed, and for an officer to stop an individual at gunpoint if necessary. In the city of New York, once a person is released from a reasonable suspicion stop, a "stop, question and frisk report" is filled out and filed with the command in which the stop occurs.
Circling the scene is more than enough suspicion...
Its ok that you disagree with it, that's your opinion. I agree that the cop should have kept his cool and did a poor job handling the situation. But he had every right to stop and question the guy.
Im not paranoid like the rest of yall

Not if someone followed them around, watched them from a distance, circled them continuously. Everyone would say its acceptable to ask the person wtf their problem is.

And some will argue that cops violate peoples rights far too often.
I sure hope you aren't implying this one of those times. Some douchebag with a video camera out with the intention of getting this exact reaction isn't just some random person getting their rights shite on.
I'm all for having my rights, but I also will not go out intentionally looking to start shite with a cop for no reason other than to post it online. That douche probably thinks he's an intellectual, but he's just a dumbass.

I would. I'd also have zero recourse. I'm not an OT baller. I wouldn't wave him down, scream at him, and throw a bitchfit.

I have no problems with what the kid is doing. It IS a dick move, only because it makes people uncomfortable. And it should. The same way police have used their power to abuse situations, they need to be reeled back in to doing their job and following the law.
The bottom line, like it or not, is this cop was abusing his powers by doing whatever the frick he wanted. But in return, he thinks it's ok when a cop follows a car doing nothing illegal until they forget to use a blinked and stop them using it as an excuse to ask them questions.
Cops are here for situations where a law was broken. They aren't here to stop people illegally and interrogate them simply because they are mad.
What do all you think would have happened without a video that night. That fat pig would have abused his power and arrested an innocent man and LIED to make a charge stick.

It wasn't an illegal stop.
Quit being paranoid. Not everyone is out to get you.

Not really, following me to work or something I doubt I'd pay any attention to it, but following me to my home is a different story altogether.

I don't think that situation you described was reasonable in the least bit.

Not using a blinker is illegal, so you can't really say they did "nothing illegal." And you can whine about profiling all you want, profiling works. And I say this as someone with a north African last name, so I've had my fair share.

Nothing because the little douchebag wouldn't have been doing it without a video camera.

What a little prick. Sounds like he was purposely following the cops to get pulled over. Yeah, not illegal, but why troll on cops? What is the guy getting out of this? Just some sense of smugness because he felt like he outwitted a cop?
That's exactly what he did. He does it for a living. ALL the local police know him. That's what made Porky's response so idiotic. You saw how his partner called him by his first name, and handled it. If Butterbean can't handle that stress, I question his ability to handle a badge and a gun. You can't scream and throw shite when you work at Waffle House, but it's ok for a cop? And for the record, I've worked in much more stressful environments, and that wasn't acceptable there.
