Goggle-eye by a mile, pound for pound. will outlive any fish on stringer and usually have the best spots on lake/ponds. mean little critters.

Put em on stringer with same size choupique then let's talk

The hardhead catfish.

For real though, barracuda. Seen one bite a four-foot king mackerel on the line in half with minimal pressure and proceeded to swallow the half not attached to the line. Sliced through it like butter and wasn't even violent about it.

Candiru. Any fish that will swim up a urethra and lodge itself there to drink blood is a mean SOB.

I don't know about being mean, they just pull like a D8 Dozer. For meanness, I have to say a Grinnel. They absoluelty destroy most baits they decide to chomp down on and just look pissed off when you have to beat them a couple of times with the boat paddle.

I do hate chopique. Go through half a pack of soft plastics trying to hook something that keeps biting then when you do they flop all over the damn boat and you get a bent hook. Beat em with a paddle and throw em back

oh meanest? as in just mean, not badass

then it is hands down the Trigger fish

they will attack you, attack their own, eat anything they can.

i've shot a snapper only to have 10 triggers attack it and leave me with a skeleton

I've seen many people bitten by them. People have lost ear lobes to them. They love to go from your inner leg / crotch area too

Meanest fish I have ever been around
