I know you use a shotgun, but what kind (gauge)?

I've never shot skeet. Been invited, don't know what to bring.

I prefer to shoot 28 gauge because it is much more challenging to shoot skeet with. I generally end up shooting with my Remington 1100 12 gauge. Using a 12 gauge makes it very easy.

I'm surprised everyone is saying 12. I prefer a 20.

I've shot highly competitive with an 870 express 12 gauge.

Is that what I'd buy to shoot competitive? Hell no.

Is that what I'm used to shooting? Hell yes.

Bottom line is you need something very reliable that you're comfortable shooting. A custom fitted kreighoff will net you a better score at the end of the day, but if you have a junky arse pump you've been hunting with since you were a kid, use that.

I use an O/U 20. Although it's been a while since I've gone shooting.

My 90 lb mother in law and my wife shot trap with a 12. Those
Shoot what you're comfortable with.

Browning Citori

Lightning or White Lightning would be a good start.

You know, you could always use this as an excuse to go buy a new gun.

Try to get your hands on a Browning BPS 10 Gauge with 3 1/2" Turkey loads. That oughta do the trick. lol.

I shoot a Beretta A300 12 Gauge semi-auto with 2 3/4" 1oz 7.5 shot Winchester AA Target loads. Works for me.
