The #91 pick + the #27 would only move ya up about 5 picks- not worth figuring. So the question is this...

You add pick #58 + #27 and you could move up to pick #16. The players taken are Clowney, Robinson, Bortles, Bridgewater, Manziel, Carr, Mack, Watkins, Jake Matthews, Ebron, Gilbert, Lewan, Barr, Donald, and Evans. Is there any player available that you would trade the 2nd Rder + #27 to get?

The best likely would be among-

Clinton-Dix
Mosley
Nix
Dennard
Pryor
Jernigan
Lee
Cooks
Beckham
Zack Martin
Shazier

The only one that strikes me is Dennard. If they graded him a day one #1 CB then ya might. Gilbert and he look like a tier higher than the next group of CBs (Verrett, Fuller, Roby). If it was any of the others listed as picked already I could see it for any except the QBs and Donald.

I'm not a fan of moving up but we know they have no hesitancy to do what's needed to get a targeted player.

2013- traded up for John Jenkins
2011- traded up for Ingram
2010- traded in for Tennant
2009- traded up and in for Morstead
2008- traded up for Ellis
2007- traded up for Pittman

Scanning I came across one I never knew...
Saints signed RFA Jason David in 2007 so the Saints gave up a 4th Rd pick. The Colts traded the pick to the 49ers. Who was that? Dashon Goldson. Jason David for Dashon Goldson, yikes!

probably nobody. We can't afford the ammo it'd take to move up far enough to where it'd warrant getting a player of that much higher value that would be worth it.

Maybe if a Anthony Barr slips into the mid teens range... that would be it.

That was the first name that came to mind when I read the title. The only other one being Sammy Watkins, but I doubt we can get high enough anyway.

Wouldn't move up this draft but hypothetically, I'd target Sammy Watkins or one of the lineman. I like Ebron a lot too but not moving up for him

Dennard. That's it. The rest are not needs, and the ones that are may be there when we pick

Nobody. I think there will be good value available at 27.

If anything, I hope a QB drops forcing a QB needy team to want to come up and we hold them hostage.

I'd imagine the difference between a late 1st and mid 2nd rounder is negligible when talking about LB, CB or OT.

If I can't get Dennard then I'd keep the picks. Only name worth trading up for IMO.

No body jumps out but the pool of players is obviously better.

They might do it again because there's not a lot of room for new faces. We need cheap labor, but who the hell do you cut or trade to make room for them? They got rid of most of the players who wouldn't create significant dead money.

Safety is no lnoger a need - take out CD/Pryor

LB warrants a playmaker, but giving up a potential starter for someone that might be only a smidge better than hawthorne? Not worth it. Shazier could be found at #27 as well. Shazier and Mosley out

The line is definitely not a NEED, trading up is clearly reaching hard for no reason. take out nix and jernigan

WR is deep in this draft, we could still find a serviceable/potential #1WR in the 2nd round. Keenan Allen went 3rd round(?) last year and look what he did as top dog. Stills was a 5th round and performed well as a #2. Also with #27, we could still get one of those 3 WR left on your board. Take out Lee, Cooks, and Beckham from the list.

RT is sealed with Strief and Armstead has given us enough leeway that we don't need to reach for a LT in the 1st. Maybe a 2nd or 3rd rounder on a project. Take out Martin

Last one..Dennard. Worth giving up a 2nd round for him? Nah. Keeping my arse at #27 or moving to top of the 2nd round.

No one. Draft picks are a valuable commodity to the organization for this draft & future drafts especially since the team lost back to back 2nd rounders the last two drafts. Trading back for additional picks would be the route to go especially with decisions on some pricey veterans on the horizon.

Trade up with Arizona, combo the 1st and 3rd, get CJ Mosley. Pick a WR in the 2nd, C with the 4th.

This draft - would not trade up.

There is talent to be had just staying put. I can see day 1 starters through the 3rd round.

No one in the first round unless a complete shock happens and a top 10 player slips to the twenties

I wouldn't really want to trade up in this draft. We're in a pretty ideal spot where someone could get an itch and move up for a QB at the backend of the 1st but also should have plenty of players at 27 that could help the Saints either this year as significant contributors or as starters next year.

Who knows who could drop to us:
quote:

Michigan State CB Darqueze Dennard has three team visits scheduled in the next two weeks, according to NFL.com's Gil Brandt.

Dennard is set to visit the Rams on Thursday and then the Bengals and Jets next week. A report surfaced yesterday which said the NFL was not as high on Dennard's talent as the media is, so there is a chance the veteran corner could be selected in the second-round. Dennard excels in press coverage and staying physical with receivers throughout their route.

I wouldn't trade up this year. Draft class is too deep.

I'd hate to see them give up their 1st and 2nd for any of these guys.....but if I had to choose one of them it would be Mosely, he'd give them something they presently don't have.
