Skip Bertman has to be rolling over

in his grave that is not even yet occupied.
All that man has done for the game of college baseball has been completely ruined.
Why was anyone surprised when Nola didn't receive pre-season All-American honors? Every pitcher he faces is he equal!
My interest in college baseball has officially taken a back seat to a dozen different activities, which will include all things off season football. This is not a knee jerk reaction from today's game, but more of a culmination of events.
I've always considered a good ole fashioned pitchers duel to be a thing of beauty- something to be appreciated. I wish I had a dollar for every time I told someone baseball is boring for people with boring minds.
But, the current state of college baseball is setting it back to the early 1900's of the game. Granted, LSU is building it's roster on middle infield talent w speed. The kind of hitters that hit .220 for the year and win national championships like UCLA. It's hard to blame Maneiri for recruiting small ball kids.
Today, if the wind isn't blowing out to left, nobody scores until maybe the 25th inning. I love the game of baseball and it's perfect in its symmetry. The NCAA has placed the game squarely into a state of FUBAR.

Skip Bertman helped make the game what it is today. Blame him for the current bats.

You sir are an idiot that probably tossed in his 2 cents after watching one game. Kindly shut the hell up and go critique tiddly winks.

Agreed. My reaction had nothing to do with LSU's record or perceived ability to win the CWS. The game is broken and it's getting really boring. I don't enjoy it nearly as much as I used to.

quote:This is me, too. Our 2 and BBQ deflated my excitement for college baseball. I find myself getting madder at losing in hoops than in baseball whereas it's typically the opposite for me. And while I usually make an effort to watch every single game, I have not watched a game since before SEC play nor have I been to the Box yet this season which is extremely weird for me.

And like you said, this is not a knee jerk reaction. I found myself becoming less than interested even before the season began. This hitting slump sure isn't helping. Hopefully a fire gets lit under our arse soon.

Yeah it's the bats. Uh huh. Meanwhile down in Lafayette they're scoring 10 runs a game.
LSU just isn't very good at that part of the game which scores runs. That's on the players, the strategy and the coaching.

Bertman would get this team in the locker room and call them a bunch of no talent pussy losers and turn them around

Are you wishing death on Skip?
You can't roll over in a grave that you aren't in.
If the greatest coach to ever coach college baseball dies tomorrow, it's your fault, IMO.
