What if the Axis had won WW2. Who do you think would have won between Germany and Japan, when they eventually squared off against each other?

I would have to say Germany, because the Japs weren't very good at designing and innovating weapons. They just relied on their fighting spirit and their will to fight to the death.

Ill comment in the morning when I'm not in my iPhone. Needless to say, this would be a blowout.

I feel like the Germans would destroy them. Japan is in a very precarious location geographically

The Yamato would devastate the Bismarck long before the Bismarck got close enough to open fire with its main batteries. The Yamato outclassed the Bismarck in virtually every possible way.

The only advantage that Japan had over Germany was their Navy.

If in your scenario they still had to fight the U.S. Navy and were wiped off the map, then German beast them like a red headed step child.

The Tripitz was actually the same class as the Bismarck. In fact it was the second of the Bismarck class. Basically you could have paired both them together against the Yamato and both would be left smoking wrecks before they could fire a single salvo.

Too far apart geographically for it to happen.

With Germany potentially having access to all of Europe and Africa/Russia and Japan having access to America (you did say complete axis victory)and China it would be the most costly war in human history and could potentially kill 70% of males on Earth.

It's truly a preposterous toss up because both the Japanese and Germans had the ability to develop new technology and both had adequate tactics for the times.

The easiest answer would be to say it would become a cold war between the largest empires the world has ever seen.
