Couldn't Iceman freeze out the sun (assuming he figures out that's where Superman draws his powers) in some capacity...it might be suicide...but when push comes to shove
We never addressed possible suicide scenarios now that I think about it.

But I've never sceen her use it to the extremes that Magneto does his power.

First thing she would do is put up a telekinetic shield.
And there's no reason to read Reyes' mind if this is a straight combat situation. Why would she care what he's thinking? She would immediately move to incapacitate.

Even if he did block out the sun after figuring that out, it doesn't drain his powers immediately. He would have plenty of time to either escape or beat Iceman, IMO.

Yeah, I kind of agree with this.
I just think The Bettle would blast her before it came to all of this.

I've read pretty much every one of her appearances. I know she's known for her short and infamous stint as the Phoenix but about 90% of her history was spent as Jean Grey aka the badass bitch that won't accept a codename(technically she was Marvel Girl for a good bit but whatever..)

True, but I think her first course of action would be to incapacitate the opponent. Which would only make the scarab take control and incapacitate her before she can up the stakes.
