I love how when a writer says good things about the Saints, they did their homework and are geniuses, but when a writer talks down about the Saints, they are uninformed buffoons

I don't give a shite if a writer writes a negative piece as long as they give stats to back up their position...most don't.

the first writer to note evans' injury (although he said leg, i thought it was back?)
It was both actually, but he reaggravated his back badly and that's when you saw that play where he barely got up out of his stance and his guy basically blew right by him.

From the rest of what you have quoted him on, he really knows his shite. Can't disagree with anything I see there.

Like us losing Smith, Harper, Jenkins, Vilma, Greer(in his inured state), Moore, and Sproles is us losing our core.

None of them were part of the core anymore. We've upgraded every single one of those in the past year or two outside of Sproles(Jordan, Vaccaro, Byrd, Lofton, Lewis, and Stills). Some would have been quality depth but that's about it.

Between the 5 defensive players, we lost:

34 games combined between them
138 tackles
4 INTs
2.5 Sacks
2 forced fumbles
18 PDs

Lavonte David alone had
more tackles: 144
more INTs: 5
more sacks: 6
the same forced fumbles: 2
less PDs: 10
and more safeties: 1

Between the two offensive players, we lost:
28 games combined between them
53 rushes for 220 yards (4.2ypc)
108 receptions for 1061 yards
12 kick returns for 255 yards (21.3avg)
31 punt returns for 194 yards (6.26avg)

only thing we're losing is the receptions
