Makes sense. Who wouldn't want to pick their destination? Even though he's younger, if Mccluster just got $4 mil per year, then Sproles should be able to get close to the $3.4 he's due with us this year on the open market.

I have no doubt they were listening to trade offers because there is no drawback in doing so, but that were actively shopping Sproles because he was going to be released whereas Thomas never was.

I don't blame him for being pissed. He can't negotiate a new contract and is in limbo while the whole world knows he won't be wearing a Saints uniform next season.
If he's going to be traded, they need to get it done. The man had a lot of options when he left the Chargers and chose us; we need to show some respect and end this...one way or the other.
