My question about all these pyramid scams is why don't people just start their own supplement company? Yes, it's very costly and most likely will put you in some debt, but it's better than multi level marketing.

I still have a box of juice plus I bought from a friend so he'd leave me alone.

Hard to tell if you don't understand the definition of capitalism, a pyramid scheme, or both. Either way, GTFO commie.

A pyramid scheme or scam implies that someone on "top" of the pyramid knowingly takes money from someone below them in return for a promised product or investment return.

While Advocare's business model is pyramid structured (advisors sign up more advisors under them), that's as close as the comparison goes. There are no minimum orders that need to be placed. In fact, you never have to sell a product. You can sign up just to get a discount on products you use personally. Should you choose to sell any product, you can do so at any time.

Advocare isn't some "new trend". The company has been around for 20+ years. If it were a scheme or a scam, it would have been shut down long ago.

This website does a good job of explaining it.

The clown probably sells the shite since he is going to claim a huge difference between a pyramid scheme and mlm. They are both garbage and everyone you talk to ends up hating your fricking guts when you come around because that shite is all the sales people talk about.

yea its not illegal but it will just make everyone hate your guts

it isn't much of opportunity of a life time if you aren't dragging others in. You wouldn't make more than a little bit if you just sold the product.

primeria has been around a long time but every person that is serious about a career in a business field knows to avoid it like the plague.

It's not a "pyramid" scheme that will get them thrown in jail, but it's a shady business like those Get Rich 3am informercials.

What's shady about direct marketing and/or multi level marketing business models?

They're both ages old accepted business tactics. Just because you may not like the way a business is modeled doesn't make it a scam or scheme.

It starts off with "hey buddy I have some cool product you might want to try" to "Hey man is like to talk to you about this business opportunity. I want you to be part of my upline".

40% of the retail price is a "little bit" to you?

yep every single time

I enjoy when a whole town is over run with people selling it. Houma seems to be a town where every person falls for something like advocare or limu.

if you are trying to make enough money to live on then you have to bring people under you or you have to be pumping the shite out of some product. I guess 40 percent of the price is a good thing if you are just wanting some pocket change while also losing every respectable friend you have.

Funny... I haven't lost any friends...

I'm also not this typical pushy scum salesman you portray either.

I've let word of mouth help make my sales for me. The products work and people see results. Their friends and family want to know how to get it and refer them to me.

An extra $1000/month doesn't hurt and that's with me not even "pushing" the product or seeking to sign someone up under me.
