Got out of bed and my head was spinning. Had to sit down before I fell down. It passed in seconds though and doesn't happen during the day.

What am I about to die of?

I've got good news and I've got bad news.

Good news is you've got three months to live.

Bad news is I forgot to to tell you a couple of months ago.

Check your bp - could be low - I'm sure one of the OT doctors will be along about noon to give you a pro answer.

Inner or middle ear. Is your hearing affected? Could be fluid behind your eardrum. That can be irritating as hell.

Could literally be thousands of things. Some things to rule out:

Arrythmia
dehydration
ear infection/fluid in ear
Thyroid
Low BP

Taking blood pressure meds?

Over medicated BP meds can and will give a person the same symptoms.

See your doctor. In the meantime make slow position changes: before you get out of bed, sit with your legs dangling off side of bed for about 15 seconds. If you have to bend down for any reason, slowly return to a standing position (key here is slowly). If you are in a recliner, sit in normal position with legs down for about 15 seconds before standing. If the dizziness is related to low BP they will help (these are things patients are taught). Most important, see your doctors hope you are better.

ETA: don't take any meds for this unless your doctor approves.

There is a virus going around now that is doing this.

Should get better in two or three days.

Check BP to be sure. Might be too low. Blood pooling in legs when you are seated or laying down.

Be careful you don't stumble and fall or back out when standing from seated position, getting out of bed, leaning over.

If still happening tomorrow, go see someone.
