I've given up on "country" music

With the strong movement of pop country over the past few years, I have decided to call it quits on the new age of country music. All of the artists I start listening to let big lable money change their style (Randy Houser, Eric Church). I'm a pretty young guy (22) that just wants to be able to sit on my porch and enjoy some real country music.
I now listen to a lot of Jamey Johnson, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelso. Can anyone give me any recommendations on some old school musicians that would be a good listen?

i'm pretty sure EC's new album is the opposite of big label money's style

Are you dead set on strictly old country guys? There is plenty of awesome new stuff that channels that old school sound. I hate pop country but I find that there are lots of country artists I like a lot.
Jason Eady, Turnpike Troubadours, John Moreland, Hayes Carll...list goes on and on.
John Fullbright is my personal favorite, although he's more bluesy and americana than country...amazing, though, so if you're feeling open-minded, check him out.

I propose the people who claim to be fans of "real country" stop bitching about radio country.
It's played out!
Country radio has sucked for decades as a whole.
American aquarium
Turnpike troubadours
John Moreland
Jason Isbell
Lucero
Cory Branan
Scott Biram
Tim Barry
Austin Lucas
Sturgill Simpson
That will get you started

Everyone step aside, the expert is here.
If you want new music, look up Sturgill Simpson, Jason Eady, and Jason Boland .
Merle is the greatest musician of all time. Ignore anyone who says otherwise.
Waylon, George Jones, Hank Sr., and Hank Jr are in the next tier.
Johnny Paycheck often gets overlooked but is simply phenomenal at making you feel his pain.
Marty Robbins is the king of the gunfighter ballad.
Don't overlook the 90s - Alan Jackson, Doug Supernaw (very under appreciated), Mark Chesnutt, Doug Stone, and, of course, Strait.
If that's not enough, check out Porter Wagoner, Webb Pierce, Moe Bandy and Joe Stampley, David Allan Coe, Conway, and Buck Owens.
I'll try to provide links tonight if the chirren allow.

I would strongly suggest:
Vern Gosdin
Keith Whitley
Earl Thomas Conley
John Conlee
Jerry Jeff Walker
I'll think of some others when I sober up.

Like classic rock, the only thing that makes older country good is not having to listen to the crap.
Go look up top country songs in the 70s and you will be disappointed.

The very best way to keep up with the latest in country music is to follow the Saving Country Music Blog. Triggerman writes rants and reviews so you can keep up with what to listen to, and more importantly what not to. His rants on the bro-country stuff are hysterical. Example
