Who would you say was their best player from 01-04?

this is really all that matters
IF we're talking about 1 player, not even close.

It is odd that Brady has escaped criticism for an entire decade of choking. His post season QB rating actually drops well below Manning's even IF you include the Super Bowl seasons
Win later, and you "figured it out"
When in actuality, being random is a much better explanation than "clutch" or "choke"
In sports, everything has to have a definitive answer or explanation, but that's not very realistic.

5 super bowl appearances vs. 3
3 Lombardis vs. 1
2 SB MVPs vs. 1
brady is two plays away from 5 rings and 3 or 4 super bowl mvps
manning shouldn't have even been the MVP of the super bowl he did win.
nothing random here. It isn't like peyton lost 2, then won 3 and now has all of a sudden caught up. It is hard to get 3 or 4 playoff games out of manning without a colossal frick up because he feels the pressure big time.

So Manning sucked in the two games prior to the SB?
Please advise.

Can't read bro?
In the time frame of the OP:
2 SB appearances vs. 3
0 Lombardis vs. 1
0 SB MVPs vs. 1
But Brady APPEARED tho!!!!11

From a purely QB statistical basis...Brady sucks worse than Manning in the playoffs.
It's like no one can read anymore.

Put Manning on those teams under Belichick and Manning has at LEAST 3 Super Bowls.

oh, so we're just taking a select amount of time just because
the OP is stupid, it finds a select segment of time to make an argument that spreads across a much longer time span...dumb
I'm not even saying brady is better, he is not, I'm saying Brady doesn't get blinded by the lights. The moment often gets to manning. I'm saying Brady is a more reliable, thus better, commodity in the postseason.

I can play that game also.
Brady shouldn't have been the MVP in his first Super Bowl.
16 of 27 for 145 yards??

yeah, nooooo. two of those SB titles required a phenomenal final drive by TB, a drive manning rarely has the nerve for in the postseason

No...he said why. Is he typing in invisible ink or something. He said since his last SB...which was a decade ago...and coincidently after they were busted for cheating. Not just ACCUSED...busted.

add in an INT and I would agree with you, but he didn't turn it over and he lead his team down the field in 30 seconds with no timeouts, which we've now seen countless times.
Ty Law was the top performer, Lawyer Milloy maybe, but Brady isn't some undeserving chump like manning was.

If you want to win in the regular season take Manning. If you want to win in the post sea take Brady.

The time frame is determined by Brady's last Super Bowl win, which just so happens to be 10 years ago.
10 years is a pretty significant time frame.

No...he said why
and then just randomly picks 2005, leaving off a 4 year span of brady's career that had tons of success.
When we talk about the moment being too big for manning, we don't have to cherry pick and leave off portions of the resume...you look at everything.

Really? A couple of passes setting up a 48 yard field goal is a PHENOMENAL drive? A few passes and hand offs setting up another long field goal is PHENOMENAL?
You're acting like he carried the team to the end zone both times like Montana.
I'd counter with this: all three of Brady's SB wins required great defense, coaching, and special teams. He didn't CARRY those teams.
I'd also add that if Brady would have played BETTER in those Super Bowls...like maybe cracking 150 yards passing in one of them...no game winning FG bail outs would be necessary.
Statistically, Brady was another Joe Flacco early in his career. That TEAM was PHENOMENAL.

I don't think he carried those teams, he was an equitable part of their success in the playoffs, and they don't win one of those super bowls without him. People act like manning is playing with his high school teammates...He shite his pants in 2/3, including 2006. His best was 2009 and then it set up for a final drive down a TD, too much pressure for him, not for tom.

I'd argue that if PM would stop giving the other team the ball in the playoffs, he wouldn't need his superfans to bail him out by shitting on his teammates.

and mistake free, under pressure qb performance, something brady is better at than manning.
again, I am in no way saying brady is better, I'm saying he performs better in the playoffs, which is completely true. Part of the problem with manning is he isn't playing Jacksonville anymore, but he still calls the plays and runs the teams like he is. He is a anxiety riddled mess in the playoffs in some big spots.
