Let's talk about Tom Brady's last 8 playoff losses

People like to say Peyton has had the best team atleast 3 or 4 years and only has one ring to show for it.
Tom Brady has an average QB rating of 77.6 with a 11 TD to 10 INT ratio in his last 8 postseason losses (since his last ring in 2004). They were the clear-cut overwhelming favorites in 5 of those 8 losses.
Tom Brady is fantastic but he has been a very average QB in the postseason over the past near-decade...only his early spy-cam and Vinatieri enabled success seem to offset any criticism about his post season play since the 2005 season. Hey, even Manning has one more ring and an extra trip to the Super Bowl compared to Brady since 2005.

arbitrary qualifier.
In the 12 seasons he has played in his career (throwing out the year he tore his knee up in Week 1) he's lead his team to 8 AFC Championship Games, 5 Super Bowl appearances and won 3 Lombardis. That is a fricking phenomenal resume.

Give it a rest.
These threads are getting old.
Nobody sucks like Manning in the post-season.
We all watch football.
Get over it.

It would be really nice if he could win again.

Not its not. The Pats lost both their coordinators and their best player(Ty Law) after the 2004 season

Oh look, another one of these threads

It was either 2010 or 2011 season where Brady played lights out all year

Since Spygate, every Brady season has ended with Brady choking in a big game.

Lol. What a bunch of miserable fricks. You can't prove your guy isn't a choker, so you lash out at other players. Sounds legit.

It is odd that Brady has escaped criticism for an entire decade of choking. His post season QB rating actually drops well below Manning's even IF you include the Super Bowl seasons.
The 2007 loss to the giants was a epic choke job worse than this year's Super Bowl.

can we talk about his 20 plus wins, 8 title game appearances, 5 super bowl appearances, 3 super bowl championships and 2 Super Bowl MVPs?

He doesn't have 20+ wins in the playoffs.
I think the point if this thread is that he has APPEARED in a lot of big games and choked in virtually everyone for 10 years.
With Brady, though, just APPEARING is great. He doesn't have to win anymore. With Manning, he is EXPECTED to win every year. What's that really say about who we really think is better?
The reality is Brady is 8-8 since his last Superbowl win and 3-7 on the road, with worse stats than Manning (with Manning having more SB wins)....but Brady gets credit for appearing and Manning doesn't.
Now I really don't care either way...just calling it like I see it.

quote:For anyone would believes in the wizardy of "clutch" and the guy who "plays his best in big games" and all that stuff that gets assigned to guys like Brady after winning 3 Super Bowls, how do you explain this?

Did he lose his clutch gene?
