Not too shabby for a player many didn't want. He's going to be so awesome with a year under his belt.

This doesn't make sense. If that's the case he should have won RDPOTY

I don't think the problem is that no one wanted. Because in reality, we clearly needed safety help. I, like many others, assumed Jarvis Jones was the assumed fit and need.
Thank god I was wrong.

I say that shows a lot of respect and how writers/voters feel about Vaccaro in our defense.
Eric Reid put up better numbers, got pro bowl subbed in, and people considered him the 'better safety'. Well writers think different. Vaccaro may not have the int numbers, but the impact on a defense is worlds apart between the two.

Gotta say I really love KV and I'm glad we got him, but they got it right with Richardson winning. I saw him play a few times and he is definitely beastly. I didn't see Alonso at all so I'm not sure about him.
All that said, I think KV is the better fit for us given what we had. I think the difference he made is bigger than the difference Richardson would have made for us.

I said early I thought Vaccaro was the safest draft choice. Every draft there is a conflicting perspective of, do you draft the best pick available or do you draft the position of most need. Still glad it worked out though, I was glad to see he had an immediate impact.

Not one mention of Eric Ried :)
Can y'all please shut up about him now?
