Went very well. 0 distractions. Will be doing this 100% come March/2014. I thought I would get bored too easy, but this went quite well.

Anyone else doing this at the moment? Any tips? Thanks.

I put in about half an hour worth of important emails so it was like half a days work.

I got some work done from 7-12, then I started cooking, then I started drinking. Then I was in weekend mode.

Tomorrow will be even worse.

The only way I can work from home is if I am completely alone, wife, kids, housekeeper, they all get in the way.

I work 100% from home. Been doing it for 4.5 years now.

I like it because I hate going to an office. I still communicate with my teammates all day long via Lync.

I never really spend money on fast food. No traffic. Very little gas money.

Wife and kids don't distract me anymore. They used to think because I was home, they could bother me whenever. That shite stopped real quick.

Enjoy man. More and more people will be working from home in the coming years.

Its easy for a day, or even a couple of weeks, but you won't be even close to as productive as you would be at an office long term.

It takes a special person. I did it for 3 years before I hired employees. I focus better in an office.

Today wasn't bad though. My employees were productive and we made some good money from home. Can't complain. Looks like we'll do it tomorrow.

One cool thing that made it better was our new phone system, a cloud based VoIP. We brought our phones home and it was just like we were at the office.

I'd be much better at it if I had an office.

I do a half day on the road checking on my contractors and half the day in my home office. I love it, other than on days like today when everyone else is off.
Here is a thread with some good suggestions: LINK

I don't care for it. I never really felt home, nor did I ever feel like I was at work. The boundary was blurred and it made it difficult for me to separate the two.

I did it today. Got nothing done. Didn't even start until 3. Then got the news we weren't going in tomorrow either. Shut the computer down the instant I got the email I could never do this.

I have plans to move my office home once I find someone to take some of my current in office responsibilities away. Looking forward to it too.

I've worked from home for 3+ years now. There are studies showing that employees are more productive at home....don't have to participate on all the office jibber jabber bullshite. I love it, mostly. Gets old by about Thursday each week when I am in my house all the time though.
