I got to thinking about this. Do we know for sure they are in Vermilion Parish? They could be in Lake Chuck or even in Texas...

Was it filmed in Vermilion Parish?

The people doing the interview work for LSP or LCID (something like that), so the interview isn't in Texas.

How do you know where they were doing that interview at? I don't remember them specifying.

Nice try at getting someone to spoil it for the OP though

Not the stuff I did. Venetian isles stood in for Vermilion along with St Bernard. The cop office scenes were in Elmwood (Metry) but I took it as being over near lake Charles etc

***SPOILERS***

When they showed MM a pic of the latest killing (in 2012) it was mentioned that it happened in Lake Charles. I would assume they were interviewing them around there considering they were working the case.

THe office was supposed to be in BR. The crime in Erath, don't know where they are supposed to be living. How in the hell can a Vermillion Parish sheriff sound like he is from Monroe,he was bad. The rest I guess they tried to explain.

I was under the idea that the 1995 storyline is in central or north LA. The modern day storyline seems to be somewhere close to Lake Charles.

I'm about to rewatch the pilot with subtitles on to see if i pick up on anything.

Just watched it and

Matthew mc, woody, woody's tv wife

Helps if you grew up in Louisiana to know the little towns like Erath, Breaux bridge, etc. mentioned but I will be resubscribing to HBO for this one.

The crime is def Erath/Vermilion Parish. When reading up on the show, I thought I understood they lived/worked in NOLA. I could be wrong.

The 1995 storyline takes place in south central/west Louisiana. Vermilion parish (Erath) is south of Lafayette, to give you an idea.

I think the only factor we have to go on for the location of Rustin's 2012 interview is Texas based on the lone star alone.

There is a seal right behind him in that interview and I was wondering if there was ever a point where it shows it well enough to see what the city/state seal is. That would no doubt give us the location for sure.

Stills begs the question, how da fuq did that detective get Lone Star for him?
