well, not to mention the rock should have blown up when he broke it in half.

Possibly, but perhaps cleaving/shearing force is insufficient, and it required pressure? I'm not arguing the science is perfect, but it is plausible, from a physics standpoint.

He barely tossed the rock aside. He put more force on the rock breaking it in two than just tossing it to the side. Not like he hurled it hard at the ground.

I got about six episodes into season 3 and have run out of steam. Need to take Trek break.

What do you want me to say? It fell four feet.

It was in the script like that, maybe?

*MIRROR, MIRROR*

After unsuccessful negotiations for dilithium crystals, the landing party materializes on the Enterprise...but a very different Enterprise. Can Kirk, Scotty, McCoy and Uhura get back home to the NCC-1701?

Uhura's Mirror Universe uniform -

Stolen from reddit -

Today is the 50th anniversary of Roddenberry's first draft proposal of Star Trek. It described the adventures of Captain April aboard the SS Yorktown.

A summary can be read HERE.

I watched this again recently. I had no idea that there are a lot of books based on this. Anyone read any of them?

And DS9 had several episodes based on the same thing...I need to watch all of those again.

Enterprise had the best Mirror Universe episodes.

Heck, they even created a whole new theme song with different opening graphics for the show.

Evil Hoshi was

DS9 Mirror was a bit too campy.

While I cannot really refute this - one of the things I enjoyed about DS9 was its embrace of TOS - they had all 3 of the TOS Klingon captains, the complaints by the time cops about Kirk being "the worst offender ever" of the time laws, and the mirror episodes. TNG was respectful of the legacy, as was VOY - but DS9 really plugged into what I liked as a fan of TOS.

Again - not having seen all of Enterprise, I can't judge yet.

If you don't mind the spoiler go watch the evil enterprise opening. So much better than that dopey song.

Zephram Cocrarain was a thug POS in the mirro universe.

They were trying to be differnent - I certainly can't blame them for trying.

I don't dislike the Enterprise opening theme - but, then again, I haven't watched all 5 seasons - maybe I'll get tired of it.

I agree the Enterprise mirror universe episodes were money.

TOS weren't bad of course, but I wish Enterprise hadn't gotten killed off in season 4...would of like to have seen them get back to the other side of the mirror.

I like the theme fine...but you know fanboys...if it's different they want to kill it with fire.

The song is dopey. Has nothing to do with being a fanatic.

What about Marlena (Barbara Luna) from Mirror, Mirror:

Kirk wasn't really too interested in the Prime Directive.

I imagine even if Vaal had not attacked the ship, Kirk would have still found a way to screw up the poor little civilization.

I think they tired to take the PD more seriously in TNG even though they still routinely violated it

I don't remember Apple at all. Decent episode hits on a lot of common themes, like interfering with the primitive cultures even though they are happy and healthy they aren't free. I too find it stretching credibility that they hadn't discovered sex. I bet your boy Hutch and his girl were surprised to see him "pitching a tent" in his loin skirt there.

On another note, is it me or do these people remind you of the Oompa Loompa's from the first Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? I wonder is someone that worked on this Trek later worked on that movie?
