Ruger Redhawk 7.5 .44 mag
Made in 1982, put up in a safe, looks to be unfired.
Subtle brag, I know, but have been wanting this particular gun for a while and got a good deal. Plan on trying to take a few deer with it this season if I can find a good round. Any suggestions?

Eta- post pics of your beasts.

Beautiful Redhawk.

Can we just turn this into the "Big arse Ruger Revolver" thread?

Here's my 44 Mag Super Blackhawk.

Here's a pic of my 460 XVR S&W Revolver. It'll sling a 200 grain bullet 2300 fps, had a 8 3/8" barrel, and weighs around 5 pounds without the scope. I'd say it qualifies as a big arse revolver.

I was on a paid hunt in South Texas (high fence, no care) back in college and one of the other guests, a female (sorry no pics it was before I had a cell phone), took a decent sized Red Stag with a .44. I was impressed.

Damn, nice.

All I have is an old Colt in 44-40.

Does that count?

Blue is 95%...

Got a Smith & Wesson 455 Eley at the house. Will try to remember to post a few pictures of it next time I go home.

Hand loads are the way to go.
I have one too and took many deer with mine. Also have a Blackhawk .44 with a scope. Good out to 100 yards for a deer. I will try to get the data for my hand loads. I will have to dig it up. all that is in my work shop.
