Jimbo wouldn't leave with FSU about to be a powerhouse. All others would be good picks.

Worse than that - they don't know their head coach is gone, yo.

Kirby Smart will have to do I think?

It's going to be a turbulent transition folks.

If Saban leaves, doubt Bama gets anyone considered good or established with a rep.

Who the hell wants to follow Saban?

Look at all the coaches before Saban...look at what happened after Bryant died.

Coaches have options now - they don't have to settle for irrational fanbases and crazy expectations.

There's big programs and money to be had everywhere.

Definitely not Kirby Smart if they have a clue. The last two times Bama hired a first-time head coach, it was a disaster (Dubose and Shula). It should be a proven head coach like a Briles or Patterson or Mendenhall or Gary Anderson. Also, the timing of it would be awful since the best coach on the market took the Washington job last week.

.....fun for LSU fans until Saban arrived. I'll never forget all the trolling from AU, LSU, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and other fans trolling the s### out of Bama fans saying we couldn't do any better than Shula for a coach and that we had lost our stupid redneck minds to think Saban would ever lower himself to taking the Alabama job. ESPN and other media outlets outwardly ridiculed Alabama and its fans for our "unrealistic expectations" during that search for thinking we could do better than Shula and then absolutely lost their s### when he actually left Miami for Alabama. The meltdown was breath taking and epic.

Seriously who would want to follow King Saban?

It's all downhill from here... I don't care what Bama fans say..No one is going to measure up...

they will live comparing their coach to Nick Saban..

Fairly or unfairly, not many men (coaches) can handle that kind of pressure day one ..

Kirby may be a great coach, but dang this will be baptism by fire..
