EVERYTHING that Saban does is for the purpose of manipulating an image so that HE can be successful.
Do you know him? Have you ever met him? Take off the Crimson glasses and watch him over the years. He is the best at what he does because he knows how to work the angles. He got burned when he left Miami and had to repair his image as a liar and a lousy human being, so he has done that. He isn't making the same mistake twice. He can't recruit with that image.

We've seen first hand how the tornado affected Saban and Miss Terry. Of course they dismiss but it's the truth.
