Hendricks will win the interim Welterweight title, and after having unofficially won 3 rounds to 2 against St.Pierre people will accept him as the legitimate champion.

Rashad just said chael told him 'good one' during the fight when he smashed him.

Rashad and Jon Jones are probably the worst matchups he could ask for and the results showed.

You only coast in the fifth round of a fight versus GSP if you've DOMINATED the first four rounds.
This. I'm a GSP fan who thought Hendricks deserved the win. That said, that was just dumb (and arrogant) not to go balls to the wall in the fifth. Right or wrong, in both boxing and mma, the champ usually wins the decision in a close fight. Hendricks had to have known this (his corner certainly wanted him to bring the fight and finish strong) and yet he just seemed to coast. Hard to feel that bad for him since he basically gave the fight away.

Hendricks won the fight. He won the first pretty easily with the takedown and the cut he opened up and the early sig strikes

Kudos to Dana White for blasting the Nevada State Athletic Commission's ineptness/corruption.

"Did you see Georges get smashed and hurt in the first round? It's about damage. This is a fight. It's about whoever inflicts the most damage. He got hurt, he got wobbled, he got dropped. I'm blown away that Georges St-Pierre won that fight.
I'm a promoter. He's the biggest pay-per-view on the planet for me and I still don't think he won that fight. I want what's fair, and that wasn't fair.
I think the Nevada State Athletic Commission is atrocious. I think the governor needs to step in immediately before these guys destroy this sport like they did boxing."

and props to Dana for having the balls to say this.
he's a fan first and he called it exactly how it went.
people say it was a close fight and it could go either way, but the facts are that Hendricks won 4 rounds, so even if the judges fricked up and gave GSP an extra round, shouldve been 3-2 Hendricks.
the first round Hendricks landed a takedown and cut GSP and landed some HARD shots. Hendricks is a better fighter, he looked great. to dominate GSP in that fashion is crazy impressive. frick the nevada state athletic commission

i wish i could be as biased as some of you guys. it must be amazing to seriously think that GSP won that fight if you were rooting for him. my best friend is the biggest GSP fan i've ever met and he scored it 3-2 johnny.
after the first 2 rounds all 6 of us were like damn Hendricks is up 2-0 GSP is gonna have to dominate the next 3 rounds or he's done.
then Hendricks destroyed him in the 4th to make it 3-1 just like both corners had it going into the fifth

Or perhaps you could learn to read
I didn't say GSP won the fight.

Then stop holding events in Nevada.
Second, IMO if GSP is going to "Step away for a year or 2" like im hearing and isn't willing to give Hendricks a rematch he should be stripped of the title, and Hendricks should be fighting Lawler for the vacant title. Or have Lawler fight winner of Condit/Brown for the vacant title and make Hendricks beat Shields or Lombard. Regardless I have a feeling this isn't just one of those I need to take some time to rest like say Bones who was right back in there, by GSP's demeanor and Helwani's tweet that GSP is thinking of taking a year or 2 off, he shouldn't be allowed to handcuff this division. Making him earn his title again if he needs to step away from MMA.

Condit - Hendricks would be a nice vacant title fight after Condit kills Matt Brown

Hendricks-Lawler
BTW, no way in hell did Bigg Rigg win 4 rounds. Like I've been saying the whole time. Both clearly won 2 rounds and round 1 was close. I gave it to Johny MMA, but I figured judges would score it for GSP. The problem is the 10 point must system. The fight should be scored as a whole just like in Pride. If it was Hendricks is the clear winner.

But it's been proven time and time again if you don't win beyond a shadow of a doubt they are going to give the decision to the champ.
and that is why the UFC is now officially unwatchable

why risk a KO? this is just illogical, emotional thinking
he had the fight won by any objective, rational measure. he would have only lost due to KO. why go "balls to the wall" and risk the KO?

it's wrong. 100% fricking wrong
it makes the UFC terrible
