Guess more than a few folks were onto their attempts to pass themselves off as a "steakhouse".

I advise the board to not be the one to eat the last steak from Crazy Johnnie's.

I know the quality may have went down a little over the last few years, but I liked the place a lot over the last 10 years or so. Loved the value on the steak and loved the gumbo and BBQ shrimp dipping sauce.
Can't say it was a date night kind of place, but I would take that over outback, etc

Haha! I'm not ordering wine at a place called Crazy anything! Fireworks or used car maybe!

I called just now:

No solid closing date, but within the next 2 weeks.

Maybe someone more in the know can answer, but I heard there was one on the northshore that closed the same way. Not a lack of business, but just got tired of dealing with the BS.

Crazy Johnnies? Thank God, for a minute I thought y'all were talking about Frankie and Johnny's Furniture.

Well that sucks. My family would always go eat here back in the 90s. We still visit when I come in town on occasion. I did notice the last time I went which was about 3 months ago, it was pretty dead for a Saturday night.

I heard morale among employees just hit rock bottom after reading one too many scathing review by F&D board yupsters. They just didn't have it in them to keep soldiering on.

RIP New Orleans culture. Hello Williamsburg South.

You really are missing out.

Edit: It's the same price as a fast food combo. It's not meant to be a masterpiece. It's quality blue collar food.
