I mean, there's something wrong here, right? Maybe that's the safe thing to say in this situation, but if you're making $4million a year and don't have your team prepared, what the hell were you doing all week?
Am I right in having a real issue with this statement?

Maybe he should have just publicly blamed the players?

They should dock him a million every loss. He may owe the university this year, if they make it to a bowl game.

He will never blame his players and I respect that. What would you have liked him to say? "Our defense sucked, QB made horrible decisions, and our O line couldn't block for shite"?

One thread I agree with.

The blame for this loss is on Miles, Cameron and Chief.

The players need more motivation. More heart.
And throwing deep down the middle after 2 picks is solely on Cam.
When your offense is moving the ball on the ground, you stay with that. Short passes, mis direction, slants etc...
This loss is on the coaches..I agree

What do you want him to say? I feel like our fans just started watching college football. Should he say...man the players really sucked tonight.

I love the way people believe that everything will be perfect forever.

after reading this board I'm almost to the point where I don't mind LSU to lose just to see you people completely freak the frick out. It's entertaining to say the least.

How any of you that pays attention to college football doesn't understand how it's cyclical is beyond me.

Not really.

Let's be honest. Do you think the coaching staff simply didn't work hard enough this week? Do you think they weren't doing what they normally do?

Miles' comments were a hindsight acceptance of what was apparent. He's simply taking responsibility.

To try and stretch that into Miles and his staff not doing their job is an exaggeration that isn't needed.

How could that be. He claimed that the TIgers "planned on playing for something significant on the back end of the season."

Apparently the Music City Bowl is something significant to Les.

Here is a list of the consequences he will suffer for it: 0, Zero, zilch, nada... and the beat goes on.

He was stammering like an idiot, talking about patience in the passing game. This means we'll not be aggressive anymore in the passing game. Defensively, He is scared of Chavis and will not do anything.

Before the season I predicted an 8-4 season.
Looks like we're headed there.
Miles and Charlie Weis are in one group, only thing different, Miles has the talented players and wins in spite of it.
It has always been frustrating watching LSU play since Miles took over. It doesn't matter who his coaches are, he overrides their input and _ucks-up the whole package.

Physical LSU win over physical yet limited Offense Boom/Fla team + greenhorn young LSU D off big game effort with success + LSU's rival(UM 10-3 ATS last 13 vs LSU..Dog 12-2 ATS last 14 in Series) = Bad News ReBears that were gonna once again out-shovel and outwork LSU on the Effort Meter in this SEC series.

Think about it, UM 10-3 ATS last 13 vs LSU..Dog 12-2 ATS last 14 in Series..that's the entire Saban and Miles eras combined! UM simply cares more about the rivalry..LSU's players get totally outworked in this series.

It's called a game plan. Miles planed on using the ground and pound approach. Try to stay vanala as possible. Save the air attack for Bama. Which he realized after we were down 3 scores wasn't going to work. The players went in thinking if the coaches think running the ball will win this game, hay Ole Miss must be pretty bad so I'll just slack this week and out it all out there for the Bama game. Yes the miles sent the wrong game plan out there and the players were out of sorts the whole game. Yes Miles was right about it being on him. I say Shame on you Miles you ruined thousands of people's Saturday nite with that garbage.

He has zero accountability. He will remain this way. His calmness on the sidelines makes him look apathetic. He loves his family and he is rich and other than a few times here and there when he says something quirky and violently, he lacks the want and fire you want in a coach.

Whether or not the players executed is not the issue - coming flat with a BS game plan is - and that is all on Les.
