Do you think more teams go with UF's approach vs. LSUs offense?

UF is the only team LSU hasn't exploded on offensively. (IMO, it had to do more with LSUs mistakes and not the UF defense.) UF was the only team bold enough to only keep 7 men in the box. LSU ran well versus them but didn't get the big numbers that they are use to in the passing game and the score board. My guess is that Bama would be the willing to do what UF did. I'm just curious if other teams will take the same approach.

I don't think anyone well face will have the corners good enough to hold up in one on one coverage all day

UF has a better Def backfield then anyone else we will play. They respected our pass game so much, that they still only put 7 in the box out of respect for our passing game. Had they put 8, we would have been able to pass the ball better. No other team we play, including Bama is going to be able to do that. I'm thinking Bama is going to bring a really heavy blitz package and sink or swim vs our offense. Hopefully Mett looks like Oregon St did against us when Saban tried that against them. lol

Mett had an off game, he missed a few throws that would have made the game a lot less close. He wont have that many off games.

The UF strategy was for Mett to have an off day. I think every team has tried to utilize this strategy but it hasn't materialized. I don't foresee it happening again.

Yes.

LSU will not score over 17 points the remainder of the season. Guaranteed.

UGA did this and we torched them through the air. UF's secondary >>>>>>>>>> UGA's secondary.

No one else has the CB's that UF has, so no. They may try. To stop LSU, stuff the run and force 3rd and long. Even then, you are taking your chances. Never seen a team convert so many 3rd and longs like LSU has this year.

Well, I'd imagine LSU's strategy to run the ball as much as they did despite the fact UF was willing to go man 2 man in the secondary had nothing to do with it at all.

LSU was making a statement in that game and I think they wanted their OL to prove itself as a run blocking line. They've already proven to be extremely good at pass protection, but had been very up and down in run blocking all season.

I think Miles and company wanted to take the opportunity to see what they could do against a tough front, thus mitigating a high scoring game.

I doubt it, and if they do it will likely be at their own peril. Very few have the defensive talent of a team like Florida. You also see with that strategy hill ran for over 100. As much as I love the pass, LSU is most dangerous when we run the ball well. Mett was also a little off with a few throws, which made things a little closer than it had to be.

Going into the UF game, our offensive gameplan wasn't to throw it all over. Nor were we in a position where quick scores were NEEDED (For most of the game).

We could have had better offensive numbers against Fla, if 1) we needed to and 2) if we don't make a few errors here and there.

But thats football, errors and mistakes happen. Its a matter of making less than the other team and not letting your mistakes cost you more than their mistakes.

Having better players usually translates into more success, so yeah, other teams should recruit more better.

Is Florida planning to loan out their corners to all LSU's future opponents?

Yes... I believe every team will have to rely on Mett having a bad day to slow down our offense.

I'm sure it's been said but this is retarded. UF dbs are talented enough to limit the passing game, so LSU gladly ran the ball with the lead and watched the clock tick. Their plan didn't work.
