Someone here said that cellophane does not hamper humidity uptake and that statement is 100% true. Cellophane is water permeable. The cigar breaths just fine through it. My belief is that the biggest reason for using it is to protect the delicate wrapper leaf.

do you unwrap the cigars (that are in plastic wrap) prior to putting them in the humidor?
No, but it's a matter of preference.

Man O War Virtue
Man O' War makes good stuff; I prefer the phalanx, ruination, puro authentico, and 52C. Virtue isn't my thing but I don't like Connecticuts.

At $3 a stick, it's tough to go wrong.

Slight hijack: if a stick dries out in a humidor (it's on me, I've been busy and forgot about it), can it be restored? I know it won't be fresh or as good as new, but can it be moisturized enough to be smokeable?

Cigars arrived before lunch.

Friday, 65 degrees, sunny, no wind, outside with a Macanudo.

CAO Italia was a nice smoke.

A little harsh near the end, but overall pretty good.

Post a review of that brazilia once you've had it. The Italia was one of the first 5 cigars I ever tried; need to re-visit it now that I know more. Picked up a box of Flor de las Antillas Toro last night... They're heavenly.

I will. I avoided choosing that specifically because you recommended it.

I'm saving it for a more leisurely time so I can savor and enjoy.

That 1-day deal of the box of 10 Man O' War for $50 looks tempting, especially with free shipping.

Anyone going to Big Smoke in Vegas this year? Got my ticket for Saturday night

Much better deals on the mega mashup on [link=(www.cigarmonster.com)]Cigar Monster[/link] right now.

ETA: They have the test flight of my favorite habano wrapper cigar on there right now for a great price. It is the Mi Barrio by Don Pepin. Excellent full bodied smoke. The Wingman sampler(Full Bodied Wingman 1) with the Camacho Triple Maduro and Antano 1970 is an awesome deal for what you get. Besides the Liga Privada #9, the Camacho Triple Maduro is one of the best maduro's on the market. They typically sell for $9.00 or so in stores. The Alec Bradley Sun Grown, which I am not sure you can get anywhere else just like the Mi Barrio, is my favorite Sun Grown and goto economical smoke. I buy a 5 pack of them every time I put an order in on cigar monster.

Have any of you tried the Alec Bradley brand?

Have had the American Sun Grown series and also the Black Market series. I enjoyed both.
