There's a bit more to it than that. Robinson wasn't even practicing - now he's a starter. White was a true freshman just trying to learn the system, etc. The pieces are coming together on the back end of the defense nicely for the rest of the season. LSU is still serviceable up front w Ego and The Freak. Defensive ends are freshman learning every practice and game and getting better and better. If we can just find someone/anyone to compliment Barrow and Kwon Alexander in the middle of the defense at linebacker we will run the table. Welter is o.k. but he's not the answer IMHO. Chavis solves that riddle and we can compete and beat anybody handily. Maybe put Loston in the middle of the defense and have him blitz every down! At least their QB will be rattled by end of 1st half and maybe Loston can make a few plays to force a turnover or two. That's my take. With our offense we need to take more chances defensively w blitz packages, etc.

Florida has one of the worst offenses in the SEC.
People they lost to MIAMI
while our D may not do great its not that hard to stop Florida. They have had horrible QB play the last couple of years if they only try to run it on us we will stack the box and slow them down. If they try to pass it I expect their QB to make mistakes.
LSU doesn't score more than 30 but we still win.

I think the folks who said we've been spoiled by super defenses the last 3 years are spot on. Any letdown on D (like we've had this year) would be perceived as a schitty D comparatively speaking.
No D stays on top forever (see Bama D) but its still painful to watch at times!

I don't see Chavis throwing his hands up though and saying "it is what it is" and stop trying to coach the D up with this game,Bama and ATM still to come. All is not lost though,we can feed off the 2nd half of last weeks game (gotta start somewhere)if the D can help the O out for even a couple of qtrs,we will win this week and that will give those players on the D a confidence booster,in which they could sure use one right now.

I was a JJ supporter the whole time he was here because he was a Tiger and he was one tough football player...but he did not show up for the Championship game...I think that I know why, but I ain't saying...I think he gave LM the best he had 99% of the time...but he had poor field vision and therefore couldn't seem to locate the proper receiver often...how about getting over being "black"...give the race card a fing break...it's so passe, dude...a white player gets ridiculed on this site more than anyone black one ever has...
